I was not exactly for this trade but I'm way more against how the NBA is handling it. I don't think they could have f***ed this up any worse.

    Sic'im, CP3! Go git'im!

    ARGH! ARGH!

    What a joke.

What, Stern was sitting in his own butt-juices the past 18 hours because he knows that the LETTER by Cavs owner proves that every time Cavs owner sneezes, Stern's gonna catch the flu?

The Hornets got the worst of this. They had an excellent trade lined up for Paul. They received scoring, rebounding, length...pretty much an entire starting 5. Now, Paul is disgruntled and nobody wants that.

Not to mention not losing him for nothing as is most likely now. The NBA has screwed New Orleans in the immediate and long term.

I agree. Nobody wants to play for NO. It's still Chris Paul's contract year so it should be interesting to see how he approaches this season.

Lamar Odom didn't show up to training camp today. He's still mad the Lakers tried to trade him to NO. To me, this explains why NO doesn't want to do this deal anymore. You don't want somebody this upset in the locker room. It really brings down the morale of the other players. Gasol showed up to practice today. I guess he wasn't as upset, because Houston was on his radar.

Fwiw, the timestamp on gilbrts email showed it was sent after the block of the deal

While Demps was given control of the Hornets, he is probably under some constraints. I have a hard time believing the NBA gave him control to spend an additional $15 million this year and lock up another $56 million in contracts for the life of the deal (assuming they exercise Odom option) after this year.

There needs to be some repercussions to the league over this now. Whats done is done. Legal action seems the only way to resolve this. I think the players union, both owners, and Paul should sue the league and get what they can now. Cash compensation or draft picks.

Gasol is a European pro not a whiny American.

lol I was hoping Odom got traded. Maybe his wife would pull a Kardashian and divorce him bc shes married to SoCal first and foremost.

i hope the guy's happy, but in the celeb world, it would be comical

I was always taught that if you screw up, you admit it and set it right.

That would be a better course of action for the NBA than venturing into the courtroom... and I don't particularly like our part of the trade.
