No one claimed Lowry is a superstar, this data is just more Proof that he is a much more superior player than Lin,but those datas are only accountable if they make a better player of Lin.

It's not a knock on our talent evaluation at all.

Morey plucked both Lowry and Dragic out from their teams and gave them more minutes to really show how good they were.

Morey loved Lowry, but he needed a superstar. He was moved for a lottery pick because it was needed to make a superstar trade.

Morey loved Dragic, but he needed the books to be clear for 2015 so he could get a superstar.

As thing go, there is very little chance that Dragic would actually pick up his player option instead of becoming a free agent.

Perhaps. Thats the problem with player options, they are never good for the team.

I love Dragic, but it was the right move then, and probably still is the right move in hindsight.

Except both players are in totally different situations. Lowry is the primary ball handler for the Raptors. Lin shares PG duties with 8 other players.

Lowry also has one of the lowest usage rates in the League amongst starting PGs (and still manages to be amongst the league leaders in any advanced win/value added metrics).

Lin actually has a higher usage rate than Lowry.

Lowry played with Rudy Gay and Demar DeRozen and didn't have a beef with Casey. It's hilarious to see people who obviously had no idea what the whole Lowry/McHale beef was about, make up stuff simply as a way to slam McHale.

Btw, McHale was 100% correct in benching Lowry. He was much worse than Dragic and played like crap coming off injury. If he was playing like this in 2011, he'd still have been our starting PG down the stretch back then.

I'm not slamming Mchale or Lowry. It was reported that Lowry didn't like Mchale and had disagreements. Im not insulting Mchale whatsoever.

he didn't like McHale because McHale gave his starting spot to Dragic. If Dragic never existed, Lowry would still be playing on this team

I would kill to have Lowry, because he is an excellent player with an AMAZING contract.

Well the Rockets could had eithr Lowry or Dragic still playing on this team, but cared more about their Asian fan base, and decided to jump on the LInsanity hype machine. They could have just given the same amount of money to Dragic. Dragic was loyal as hell to the Rockets and on top of that was a much better player, but instead, the Rockets cared more about putting fans in seats instead of making the team better.

But his usage rate pertains to him being on the court more and not handling the ball.
