Relax DD, Temple is not THAT good, plus he probably won't find minutes once Lowry comes back.

Did anyone else notice that there was apparently a promotion/commercial right in the middle of this news story?

Temple looked good but I don't see either player making too much of a difference. As others have said, Temple should not be the difference between winning and losing the next two games before Lowry (hopefully) returns.

This also gives the team a better chance to see what Conroy can offer. Temple, I think, benefited from playing on two consecutive 10-day contracts, giving him more time than Conroy, who had just one 10-day stint, had to adjust to the team.

Temple's height for a PG is an advantage that cannot be made up or learned, no matter how well Conroy plays.

True. I also liked the energy he was giving the second unit in the final few games of his contract.

Anyway, I'm not disputing that Temple was finding his groove with the team, and if not for the financial reality, the Rockets would probably have wanted to stick with him. That said, it was obvious the Rockets liked both Temple and Conroy before the season, and I don't think they mind the chance of giving Conroy one more look.

Temple may have playd better (esp defensively), but he wasn't playing better as a point guard. Watching him bring the ball down and initiate the offense it is clear he is a two or a combo guard at best. Conroy is a point and we need someone to back up Brooks, bring the ball down the court, get the ball to Martin, Scola, Ariza, or Budinger and get out of the way.

And as may people already posted, at this point of the season we aren't a D-Leaguer away from making the playoffs or not. Lowry returns and either guy is gone. Lowry or Brooks gets hurts and we are playing for 2011 anyway. The Rockets did Temple a favor by giving him a chance to latch on a team where he might be able to stick. And if Temple hurts us with the Kings, then we have bigger defensive problems at the two than we thought.

Temple was nice, but not as good as Azibuike. Temple was a very goofy player. He was long, but looked a lot like Ariza at times while driving. Azibuike was a freak athlete which made him more valuable.

The announcers kept talking about Temple's d but I saw him routinely getting passed by his guy. Not that he was slow, just poor positioning. Sorry to see him go though.

Temple is a better scorer, but we don't need that now. We need someone that can get our players in a offensive flow and initiate plays and looking at Temple's assist per game avg of 0.8 that's not going to get it done. He actually might be better as a SG if he had more weight.

LOL. Temple is a better scorer my left foot. Conroy is the better player....period. When Conroy gets it rolling, he is going to make Lowry a luxury.

That's exactly right. He may work hard on the defensive end but he is too tall and immobile to handle points. Not quick enough.
