My bad. Let me modify that:

Not really up for grabs at all. Seems pretty clear cut. #5 in a good draft > #20 and some nice Youtube videos in a bad draft.

So how do you plan on acquiring players...you have to give picks and players to get that high.-DMo has proven not a damn thing. Potential potential

As someone who heard the Chad Ford interview, it wasn't "The Kings demand D-Mo". Rather, it was, "The Kings would want young players. For instance, D-Mo is a guy they like."

That having been said, if D-Mo were in this draft, where would he be slotted? Certainly, given the weight he has added and the year he had last year he would have risen.

I mean, if the logic is that he was worth 20 last year, so he must still be worth 20, then I guess you'd take Jared Sullinger in the top 5, given that was his value if he had entered last year's draft, right? Or if a team asked for Marcus Morris, you'd offer Parsons instead, since Morris was a first rounder and Parsons was a second rounder.

Personally, I think he'd be in the queue before Henson/Zeller which would put him in the 10-15 area. I think you legitimately think of him as a guy who might play some center down the road, and as such I think it is reasonable to value him more than the 18th pick and the 16th. I think it is reasonable to think that to some GM's, he could be more desirable than #12. I think I also currently think he has more value than Morris and probably more than Patterson after his mediocre sophomore year.

I have no problem including him for the right deal, but I also think he isn't a throw in and his value should be properly accounted in a trade.

We may not pull off a major deal by then, but there will be at least one more trade coming. We have some good assets (Lowry, Martin, Scola) we are ready to get rid of, but they might not be traded just yet. As for just picking the three players with our current picks, we will do pretty good with those, though it will take time to see it. Even if that's all we do, and we keep Lowry/Martin/Scola, there will be nothing to cry about.

Nor will I, and I'm not sold of giving up D-Mo for number five just to get Drummond. Try to get the number eight and Draft Meyers instead.

The two teams that have rest of the league guessing right now are Charlotte at No. 2 and Sacramento at No. 5. Both could dictate lottery.

So I guess in your book... 1995 #1 pick Joe Smith > 1996 #13 pick Kobe Bryant

If you truly care about rankings then keep this in mind. In the early 2010 Mock Draft's when players got ranked purely on potential. Motiejunas ranked #2 behind only John Wall. He ranked higher then guys like Cousins, Monroe, Favors and yes even Robinson!

In the '95 rankings I bet Joe Smith ranked ahead of Kobe Bryant.

Okay, so from your perspective what makes Robinson a better prospect then Motiejunas?

He was picked probably where he should've been picked last year. As for this year adding weight, having a good year oversees and an 80 page thread hyping him up on ClutchFans doesn't make him a lottery pick IMHO. I think he'd go mid 20's in this years draft. That's just me though.

An NBA body and skills that will translate better to the NBA. His floor is Paul Milsap, his ceiling is very high. Not saying Monty can't be a good NBA player I'm just saying I like Robinson better as a prospect.
