He will be fine and the Rockets will continue to be mediocre at best like their spectacular 42-40 record reflects. And Aaron Brooks had absolutely nothing to do with that 22-29 finish. Sure he had a role in the quick start, but he also had a role in the .431 winning percentage the rest of the season. You and DD need to quit looking at stuff through your Rocket-red colored glasses. Just because he (and guys like Yao, Scola and Artest) helped get the team out of the first round for the first time in years doesn't mean he's a leader or part of the overall winning formula. AB is an undersize SG trying to play point, just like Steve Francis who had a better FG%, APG, RPG and SPG average than AB over his career.
Do a 3 way trade that ships Cousin to Denver.... Brooks and a pick to Sacramento and Melo to Houston. Obviously there needs to be other pieces involved but those 3 should be the main players involved. Denver- Gets there young big man. They had strong interest in Favors so I can't see why they wouldn't want Cousins. Maybe throw in "Hey Bud you suck" as well to Denver since they'd be losing Melo and seem to like Bud. Sacramento- Add Brooks to the young nucleus and a draft pick. Houston- We finally get our "superstar" player even if it's only for a rental. Desperate times call for desperate means. Hope Melo can carry us to the playoffs... Hope Yao can stay healthy... Move Martin to 3rd option where he should be. Say what you want about Melo but he's pretty clutch late in games and takes over in the 4th. Something we've been lacking for god knows how long. Worst case scenario he'll put fans in seats.
Both of those have injury issues all over them. Neither set is accurate. How many games this season have the Rockets played with the rotation that we would consider our base?? None?? One??
couldnt care less. what does point differentiale do? get you a better draft pick? strength of schedule is also overrated, good teams keep winning regardless.
Part of me is hesitant to trade Aaron as I see him as a proven stud in college/NBA with more upside. If he gets dealt it better be for quality size.
so you mean those numbers arent accurate?if they are what are you arguing about? of course its early in the season, of course we have injury issues--- hello rockets fans, we have them every friggin year.
No. We know what happen with all the complain "start Lowry". I don't think this forum have a good record of making good complains.
Bad idea. Even Melo couldn't get us to the playoffs right now, its too late. He is going to NY, trade or signing this season. I'd rather get Cousins.
again, i couldnt care less about what others think. No, i dont give a flying rat about point differential, schedule of strength or whatever crappy stats ppl keep mentioning all the time. what do they do? do they make aaron brooks untradable? do they make rockets a playoff team? no? then i dont care. at this point everyone is tradeable, aaron brooks, yao ming, jordan hill you name it. just stop overrating aaron brooks and this team.
No, I mean I wouldn't expect starting Lowry/Ish to lead to a .375 winning percentage nor would i expect starting Aaron Brooks to lead to a .000 winning percentage over 82 games. There were several injuries involved with the team for all of our PGs. The data we have so far is inconclusive. If folks feel PG is the most important part of the team(and a lot do) then having our PG yin/yang operating at full strength should be a priority. So to make observations on a small sample size for both sets is foolhardy.
