Pretend for a moment you're a Kings fan. Aside from the chemistry problems you've had early in the season, you see his potential in this league putting up decent numbers in limited minutes. Would you be so quick to give up a legit C for a third tier PG? Seriously? So what if he has a bad attitude, you much sooner would hope the coaches will fix than rather than pay the price of having him go to another team and dominate. Rocket fans, keep it real.
We don't need Thompson having Hill. But they have other interesting players such as Casspi, Greene, Udrih, Dalembert or Whiteside. Anyway, we could find better things if we're going to give Aaron.
Make a trade. Rick called Hill, Budinger, and Lee and told them they were going to play more. I smell a throw away season coming up. Now bring Patterson back and start Taylor, Patterson, Hill, Lee, and Budinger.
Remove the 1st round pick, and this maybe possible, Cousins has been disappointing so far into the season for them b/c of their inability to control him(their has been many disputes between Cousins and the training/coaching staff). The Kings don't have the veterans to really help mold Cousins, who despite his extremely high skill level is still very raw in his maturity. I could see them dealing him if they feel he may become a bust due to their inability to mold him into what he could be. Brooks + Hill or Pat + 2012 NY pick for Demarcus Cousins. --RB
I like this, I like it A LOT. Cousins is a beast that needs direction, this is the kind of move that would set us up nicely for the future.
Hill play's Center. Thompson plays Power forward. Stop playing Hayes and you now have Lowry/Ish Martin/Lee Casspi(in my trade idea)/Budinger Scola/Thompson Hill/Miller.
"Third tier PG" is a little harsh. "Second tier", sure. Especially since AB is more of a scorer (2 guard) anyway, albeit pint-sized. But I'd think that if Sacramento were to acquire AB they'd have an after-lockout extension in mind, and wouldn't want to pay big $$$ to both AB and Beno Udrih. The latter makes, what?, $6 million a year already. I'm all for acquiring DeMarcus Cousins, but between too many Pop Tarts and his channeling of a young Rasheed Wallace and our blind commitment to Yao Ming's dollar value........
Then they will get a new coaching staff. Cousins has too much potential, and decent bigs are too rare, for the Kings to give up on him this soon.
I dont think Adelman can handle Cousins either that or he wont play funk a lottery player on this team
I would give up brooks and some more for Cousins. I love Brooks but Cousins has all-star potential at center.
They want AB because he is good, they have nothing to offer us in the way of a better player than AB. Pass. DD
