Are you **** kidding me? Who do you think Cousins is? Dwight Howard? Give me a break. He's an untried rookie with attitude problems and a bad work ethic.
There is more than one way to skin a cat. You can win with conventional PGs and you can win with scoring PGs...it all depends upon team makeup. And one would argue that more teams with scoring PGs have won than those with conventional ones..... DD
Nope, he is your every day typical point guard. He is playing in a system where the PG's role is a bit different than normal, but that doesnt change the fact that he is a PG. If we changed coaches/systems, his role might change, but who he is won't change.
AB is a good player. Otherwise, the kings wouldn't want him. The Kings are stealing good players from the rockets.
Unless your getting back evans, Morey would be stupid to trade brooks imo, we don't need any more role players.
For all this "thievery" of good players that the Kings are doing, they were bad last year and 4-9 so far this year. Its really equivalent of "stealing" from a homeless person.
If this was near being done or a player that we would covet I think there would be a lot more info out already. It probably was an inquiry that went nowhere a NON STORY
My point wasn't from the Rockets' side. I was making a point that even if the Kings are stealing and coming out ahead from deals with the Rockets, the result is that they are still a bad basketball team.
Excuses. They were solid for a team missing their 2 best players, The team played way above their heads without Yao and T-Mac for 2 months, then they came back to earth. Trading Landry hurt a little, but after going 20-13 the Rockets were already on an 8-12 downward spiral by then. Seriously DD you're going to use adding Kobe or Dwight, 2 impossible rebuilding scenarios, as examples for additions to make AB and the team better? Unreal indeed. I'm not suggesting just trading him for the sake of making a move. However AB is far from untouchable. Not even close. He's an undersized SG, a tradeable asset, not some top-tier NBA player.
He is a scoring PG, and I would trade him too if you get a guaranteed stud player back...the Kings don't have one. DD
No but Denver does. Goofing around on RealGM and came up with a three-team trade: Rockets get: -Carmelo Anthony -Carl Landry Nuggets get: -Shane Battier -Jared Jeffries -Tyreke Evans Kings get: -JR Smith -Aaron Brooks Flame away.
Hmmmm. Let's see: 2008: Kings get Donte Greene (late first round rookie) and Bobby Jackson's corpse Rockets get Ron Artest (one of Kings' top 2 players) 2010: Kings get Carl Landry (Houston's beloved sixth man with defensive deficiencies) Rockets get Kevin Martin (Sacramento's best player, with defensive deficiencies) I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it wasn't the Kings doing the stealing.
They are a bad basketball team with a young core. They at least have an idea about Brooks and other trades. Rockets are a bad basketball team with no plan. They have no idea on Brooks or any other players. trade? no trade? tanking? win? rebuilding? win-now? overpay old players? trade them? re-sign Brooks? trade him? Yao?
Yea, but Morey was after Cousins on draft day and the Kings since Brooks rookie season was always high on him so the NO STORY has some legs i think. Remember Rockets tried to move up in the draft and take on Brand's contract and their pick which was Cousins. I have this feeling something like this would happen again this coming draft if Philly continues to stink.
The Kings are not going to move Tyreke Evans to get two expiring players and I'm guessing draft picks in return.
