DD, if that's the only thing he ever says, he's bound to get it right once.

I really wish the reporters would ask JVG what he is going to do to get the team to come out and play with more passion?

He does seem to say that the team was not ready to play....a lot.....

So, what is he going to do to rectify that?

have you watched the rockets play since yao has been out? just curious cause I really am not too sure if you have. jesus man the one thing we have done right since yao has been out is play with passion.

god I really hate reading the reactionary posts after a rox loss.

    Thank you.

The loss tonight is on the players, they half stepped thinking they have arrived, and Rafer having a brainfart

How come every loss seems JVG's fault? So every win we get it's just the players talents getting us through?

We've got the 4th or 5th best record in the LEAGUE playing basically with a group of scrubs and the JVG haters still can't accept it. we go on a 4 game winning streak, and it's quiet in here. oh, but we lose one game (primarily b/c the team couldn't make a shot to save their lives), and here comes the damn cavalry.

    Half ass WRONG!

Your last post WAS on the 31. But it was a response to a discussion about JVG being from NYC.

Your last whiny/b****y/incoherent post came after a loss to Denver saying something STUPID like JVG has NO CHAMPIONSHIPS in a hundred years of coaching. The man just turned into his 40's but I guess he started coaching in his negative 20's.

By the way, lamebrain, you didn't post ONCE ON ANYTHING during the winning streak. NOT ONE DAMN TIME.

What a troll...and I always take the bait on this guy. Makes me a total idiot.

Your credit continues to be just EXCELLENT around here.

    Suddenly, you reappear tonight.

    Yep.

If we win, we know your post will be...

If we lose, we know your tirade will be...

    Robbie,

JVG is the one saying that the team is not playing with passion....JVG is the one complaining about them not doing the little things to help them win...JVG has been saying it for over 2 weeks now.

My point is....OK.....what are you going to do about it JVG?

We could have and should have won that game-at the half we were down 33 to 30. I do not recall such a low scoring half this season. I thought they would come out stronger in the 2nd half and we would win. I was at the game and think it was a sellout. the crowd woud get loud during moments of scoring or good plays, but hopes were killed when Hornets would score or end our drive.

Blame it on the players- they did not appear to have any sense of urgency-consistently. Yes there were brief moments of effort, but the Rockets really looked soft. The Hornets were fighting for pride to win- the Rockets really did not look like they cared.

I do not think you can blame Van Gundy for this one.

It was a long ride home to Beaumont....

I don't blame him at all, but the team was not ready to play, not ready to compete, not ready to win.

I want the reporters to ask him how he plans to rectify this?

Agreed DaDakota- the second half of pointing out a problem/ fault is to help solve / rectify it. This is a regular season game against a non playoff opponent. What will we do in the playoffs to prepare????

Recall Rudy T - we had lost 2 at home in '95 playoffs against Phoenix- we went to Phoenix and won. He had them prepared and adjusted and ready to beat a superior team. Rudy gets little recognition for this-in the playoffs - in the spotlight.

What are we to expect coming up in the playoffs????

So? You were saying I *wouldn't* respond to a "New York City" thread unless the Rockets lost. The fact there was a post after a win proves that theory incorrect.

BTW, I have no clue what "we" you are referring to. Are you and your church league or YMCA buddies playing some games early in the week?

sorry for the misunderstanding. I get a hair trigger after losses :D

well number 1 JVG is going to get rafer back and that will help immediately with the team's energy. we saw how valuable rafer can be to this team and clearly we needed him.

second, JVG will do whatever he does to ensure we don't have back to back dead flat performances.

who knows what happened...maybe the players thought they would breeze thru this game...maybe they just got knocked into a rut early and couldn't get out because of the terrible pg play w/o rafer. new orleans is a good team when they are pretty much healthy. they played tough and we weren't ready to step up.

all I know is that this team will comeback monday and play with passion and heart and take down the t-wolves. that has been the m.o. all year and it will continue.

Which is it, a church league or YMCA league?

Perhaps Mr. Van Gundy can squeeze in a visit so he can breathe, watch the Super Bowl, and show you the proper way to box out.

    Huh? What?

You actually give Mr. Van Gundy credit for something? Can he really teach the proper way to box out? Really? Really really?

    Floored.
