MJ couldn't get ridiculously hot from the three point line? Really?

Shaq's career high scoring game was on March 6th, 2000. He wasn't trying to win the scoring championship that night with 21 games left in the season.

If Jordan dunked on Ewing, Hakeem, david robinson, mourning, etc... i think he would have no problem dunking on Nowitski, Perkins, NeNe, Joakim Noah, Dalembert, etc ((((LOL))))

I'm sorry but I can't hate the player that made the NBA a legit league.

LOL at all of you who obviously never saw MJ play and act like you actually know how he would fare in today's NBA

Are you laughing at the people who think he would dominate the league even more than he did in the 80s and 90s or the folks who are acting like he would only be a borderline all-star?

I'm not sure how Kobe's 34% career three point percentage makes him a marksman out there but MJ's 33% makes him a bricklayer.

I agree with that last sentence.

No more comparing Dwight to dream. It's just outright blasphemy.

Look at it this way, Dwight is basically a shorter, less athletic, slower, less chiseled, slightly worse defensive David Robinson, without his jumpshot or hands.

And we all saw what Hakeem did to D-Rob.

Dwight-Dream comparisons = officially off limits.

Great post. The amazing thing about Jordan's prolific offense is that he was equally prolific on defense. He was doing this kind of scoring while he was also consistently among the league's top defensive players, at one time being the dpoy and top scorer at the same time.

Imagine what his offensive numbers would be if he just focused on scoring without expending much effort and thought to his defense.

lol Kobe gets "touchy" fouls all the time. And 20 FT is still A LOT. That's a potential of 20 free points.

    I agree with MJ.

MJ > Kobe and any other perimeter player in today's game, including Wade and his girlfriend

Throw PER comparsions out or whatever you want but remember that the rules and the game have changed tremendously.

Imagine what MJ's already stellar numbers (including PER) would be like in today's game with the no handchecks and less clutching and grabbing and what not...

    no.

Jordan's 60+ games were overtime games

And I dont think Kobe could have scored 100 points in his career either. That 81 point game was entirely due to a perfect storm of a half of basketball where he scored 55 points. Could Kobe string two of those perfect halves together in one game let alone have another single half like that ever again? No way.

    the answer would be yes.
also, with no hand checking, Kenny Smith would have be a top 5 point guard in the league.

the NBA was on it's death bed even with Magic and Larry in the early 90's. Magic and Larry built the league but Jordan made it mainstream IMO.
