Looks like since Green could not hurt the Rockets on the court anymore he has to hurt them off the court.
He is not beholden to tow the company line and it's not like he is doing it at a press conference. Nothing to get worked up about.
I agree. That said, if Green serious about being Rockets next franchise player, which I believe he is, then he would be smart to hire a sharp PR firm to avoid these kind of misunderstandings. He has a brand to protect.
He was an all star because he was playing with Embid those numbers would not get him an all star nod on a crappy team. So you want to replace a bad contract that expires in a year with a worse contract that goes on for even longer. How will a bottom of the 1st draft pick jump start a rebuild?
Of course he has a brand. Every athlete, especially high profile athletes like in NBA, has one and understands the ability to monetize it.
I agree that he doesn't have to tow the company line, it's not like I'm asking him to tweet out against John Wall or anything. The correct thing to do would just not tweet at all. This isn't to single out Jalen, I don't think it's a great idea for any player to post on social media that they aren't happy with the way their front office is handling things. Unless you're intentionally trying to send a message that you're disgruntled, which I don't think he's doing here, it's probably a better idea to just stay out of it.
What exactly is the company line anyway? I don't like twitter/ gram protest anyway and there is nothing that can be done to free Wall anyway so it's an ignorant tweet but if this does not become a thing for him I can ignore it.
I don't think Simmons contract is bad and I think he gets a bad rap, he is a 6'10" point forward. His shot is improving, but he is a great facilitator. DD
Wut? Are you serious? Thanks for letting me and anybody else too not engage you on this topic anymore.
I never viewed this thread before. Some of you are morons. Please watch the games and stop the gossip & judgement
