    The whole incident was strange it's like nobody even knew a shot had been fired and nobody scattered.

    It's also funny that the police where aiming into what I thought was the congress floor, why would they do that?

    Re-election (and fundraising toward such) is much more important than conducting your business in US politics.

    And um hey, does Germany have any need for a middle-aged physics professor? I can also teach english and technical writing (english, though know some Deutsch).

    One thing for sure...you can't violently break into the Capitol building and expect any semblance of a security guarantee you will not be hurt or killed. You are doing so at your own risk. You may have an expectation that it is a peaceful occupation but, when those with you are breaking windows and doors down to get into chambers where Congress members may be present, you are literally putting your life at risk. And, unfortunately, what happened today is a woman died and a 14 year veteran at that.

    It's so ****ing difficult. Very few people have their first meeting that leads to joining a cult as a terrible or crazy person. They just have some weakness or fear the cult can exploit. And we all have feet of clay.

    I'm not excusing anything by anybody. Just saying I can see where the guy was a legit youth coach and a friend. :(
