Gore would've come in with a divided Congress including a 50-50 Senate. Not controlling the House might've greatly limited what he could've done. He might've gotten a small climate change bill passed focused around things like CAFE Standards and Carbon offsets. I think 911 still would've happened and we would've been in war in Afghanistan but probably not Iraq. The war in Afghanistan likely would've overshadowed everything else and he would've run in 2004 as a wartime President.
These tweets make Twitter look dumber than Trump with it's weak sauce "this claim is disputed" disclaimer that follows the inverse square law in terms of its weakness with each passing day. Call it what it is - straight trash, lies, dangerous garbage that is only being shown out of cowardice with some "public interest in a head of state" fig leaf to cover it.
Agree and have said: "disputed" doesn't factually fit the situation. Claims of a flat earth are also "disputed," but we need a more clear, stronger word for such myths.
I agree that these labels are ridiculous, but I suspect twitter, as a private business, is trying to straddle a line between deleting/preventing trump's tweets, and pointing out just how dishonest trump and his supporters are, and worrying about threatened government actions against them as a business.
Worry about what? Appeasing Trump gets you nowhere. Ask Mitch. Conversely he's pretty dumb and scatterbrained. Remember when Trump was gonna ban tiktok? They're going to deplatform him in 2 weeks. No reason to not start now.
Gee... I think I have been a bit critical of trump, his supporters, and their exploitation of the public communications avenues for the past five years. But... I also see he had 70 million votes and probably a third to a half of those believe every piece of bull that comes out of his mouth and twitter account. If I am a business I have to be concerned about that. He also still has the DOJ. If I am twitter I keep my powder dry for a few weeks. Then block his spew...

There's nothing he could do now to Twitter that wouldn't be immediately reversed or rescinded in 2 weeks. Either the DOJ or the courts would stop them before anything happened.
