The guy is the number 2 pick and was expected to be the building block of this franchise. Yes it is fair to compare him to other vets. If he's as good as some people are making him out to be, then he should be able to carry the Rockets. He also "spent 1 year in the G League which is supposedly better competition than college".
He also said he wants ROY, score 30 pts, and thinks he is the next Kobe Bryant/Jordan.
So far what I've seen is a 19 yr old that can barely handle the ball. Bad shooting mechanics. Has no defensive awareness. Can't finish strong to the hoop in traffic because he is still to lanky or his lack of wingspan.
Yes I want to see Derrick Rose numbers and impact! Especially on a rebuilding team where he has the opportunity to shine.
Someone on the board said Stone wanted Mobley but Silas wanted Green. Let's see who was right.

Delusional to think a rookie can carry this team anywhere. We can have the reincarnation of Kobe suit up at 19 and we still won't make it into the playoffs. Too many rookies, not capable vets, questionable coach.

Sun Lakers nuggets mavs blazers jazz grizz

    Kings wolves.

Harden made it ez dragging teams to playoffs but he has years of experience.

If he scores an efficient 20 I'm gucci.

Haha. Many difficult hours of scouring the internet looking for Silas
    offensive system.

A whole 5 seconds searching for the Nathan Fogg thread here on CF's.
Not exactly an obscure title. Silas Offense or something another.

    Top-notch detective work right there.

I have lowered my expectations. I know he is capable of more than that.

Using the 3 names I've most often seen him compared to, at their age 19 season:

    Bradley Beal at 19- 13.9 ppg 2.4 apg 3.8 rpg 38% from 3
    Zach LaVine at 19- 10.1 ppg 3.6 apg 2.8 rpg 34% from 3
    Kobe Bryant at 19- 15.4 ppg 2.5 apg 3.1 rpg 34% from 3 and an all-star selection

Taking the average of these 3 players-
    Jalen Green at 19- 13.1 ppg 2.8 apg 3.2 rpg 35% from 3 and a 33% chance at ROTY

I'd like him to develop a mid range floater before the shot blocker closes in.

Until he can develop the strength to use his body to make the play through contact in the air.

Also get better drawing fouls. This will be useful throughout his career.

The Wolves were strong and athletic and gave Green a "Welcome to the NBA". It's going to take him sometime this season to figure out what he can and can't do.

If Stone wanted Mobley, he should have taken Mobley. Ultimately he will be judged on whom he takes, and the team he builds.....Silas will be gone in under 2 years.

Also look at D Book first year in the league. He could barely get double digits in the first 2.5 months.

Surprisingly the Arc is great, the form is bad. Usually with bad form you get a flat shot, Green shoots rainbow bricks
