It's a debated topic, there is no general consensus. Why do you think you need to decide what is or is not a matter of concern to me? By the way, there are many people of Turkish origin who are German citizens. They do not intend to move back, and nobody can or should force them to move back.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamism "The term Islamism is considered to have first begun to acquire its contemporary connotations in French academia between the late 1970s and late 1980s. From French, it began to migrate to the English language in the mid-1980s, and in recent years has largely displaced the term Islamic fundamentalism in academic circles. The use of the term Islamism was at first "a marker for scholars more likely to sympathize" with new Islamic movements; however, as the term gained popularity it became more specifically associated with political groups such as the Taliban or the Algerian Armed Islamic Group, as well as with highly publicized acts of violence." So when you call others and I "Islamist" you are equating us with the likes of al-Qaeda, Hamas, and other militant groups. And LOL at your last statement. Our posting history? You have over 20k posts. I wonder how many have to do with your ignorant and bigoted statements on Islam and Muslims? You are an obsessive, delusional child who acts as if he's superior to everyone like a typical closet Nazi. If you're gonna cry like a 6 year old girl because I called you names, then how about not engaging in name-calling? You're a hypocrite and you've been exposed countless of times in this section.
Funny, your posts in this other thread seem to show that your views are opposite of what you just said. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5815480&postcount=20
I cannot do that as I do not know how much your anger and intolerance and ideological fanaticism that you have displayed in your posts translates into action. As I would think that you are more of the "all talk" type, no, I do not equate you with any of these groups.
You do when you use the term "Islamist". Too bad you are too ignorant to know this. Here, let me act like you : When I call you "Nazi", I don't think you're gonna go out and gas a bunch of non-Christians (I'm not entirely sure... from your posts you seem bigoted enough to do that). Therefore, when I call you "Nazi", I am not trying to equate you with those Nazis. Cut the bull. You're ignorant and bigoted (typical German). Most on this board already know this. You're misplaced anger for all things Islam is as obsessive as basso's hate for anything liberal.
I was not speaking of muslims or Turks as a whole, but of small groups that act like that. E.g., there are Arabic gangs in Berlin which terrorize people and account for a significant percentage of all major crime. In fact, these people are comprised of probably less than 20 "clans", but these "clans" (large families, I think several from Lebanon) have a lot of members and are surprisingly "well-organized". Late Berlin judge: Arab drug mafia importing Palestinian kids into Germany Arabic drug cartels are trafficking children and youths from Palestinian refugee camps into Germany, according to excerpts published Monday of a book by a Berlin youth judge who killed herself last month. Kirsten Heisig wrote in an unpublished book that young Palestinian asylum seekers often gave suspiciously similar reasons for coming to Germany. In her book, The End of Patience, Heisig described the process by which children and youths were flown in from the Lebanese capital, Beirut, by traffickers who took their passports and promised them a better life. In Germany, these young people disappeared from youth homes and were taken in by their own communities, where they were taught how to master the drug trade, Heisig wrote in a section of her book. The judge said it had struck her how often youths she sentenced for heroin trafficking in central Berlin had actually been assigned to care homes across Germany, where their disappearance was merely registered with the authorities. "The gangs' latest trend is to fetch young people under the age of 14," Heisig wrote, explaining, "This has the particular appeal of lacking the threat of punishment." The judge also criticized the German authorities for failing to perform rigorous checks on young asylum seekers entering the country. http://www.haaretz.com/news/interna...orting-palestinian-kids-into-germany-1.302860 ----------- German Raids Target 2 Radical Muslim Groups (Dec. 15) -- German authorities raided religious schools, bookstores and dozens of private homes connected with two radical Muslim groups, a sign that the government is toughening up its policy on organizations that espouse hard-line Islamist views. The raids -- staged in the western cities of Moenchengladbach, Bremen and Braunschweig on Tuesday -- were aimed at Salafist groups Invitation to Paradise and the Islamic Culture Center of Bremen. Officials insisted that today's operation had been planned for some time and was not connected to a current terrorist threat to Germany. The country has been on a heightened state of alert since last month, when authorities received a phone call from a man claiming to be a jihadist in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, warning that terrorists were planning to attack the parliament in Berlin and a major tourist site. Interior Ministry spokesman Stefan Paris told The Associated Press that the groups were targeted because they wanted "to create an Islamic theocracy" and were "working against the democratic order of Germany." In a statement, the ministry cited one elder's goal of replacing Germany's legal system with Shariah law, which the government said is incompatible with parliamentary democracy. "It is necessary and important not to wait for a militant struggle in the form of jihad before intervening against unconstitutional groups," Paris said. The raids are part of a long-term plan to shut down the two groups, which work closely together and share a similar Salafist ideology, an unnamed security official told the AP. The term "Salafist" is normally used to describe a follower of a highly puritanical form of Islamic fundamentalism. And although Salafism isn't inherently linked to extremism, the ideology has been connected to numerous terror plots. "Not every Salafist turns into a terrorist, but we know that future terrorists have almost always visited Salafist workshops and schools," the intelligence service in the state of Lower Saxony -- where police searched Invitation to Paradise properties in the city of Braunschweig -- noted in a 2009 report, according to the AP. Sven Lau, a group leader for Invitation to Paradise in Moenchengladbach, told the AP that police seized computers, cell phones, books and receipts during their searches. "We're sad about this raid," he said. "We haven't done anything illegal." Tuesday's operation was a marked departure from the way German authorities normally handle radical Muslim organizations, noted The New York Times. Intelligence-gathering operations are traditionally launched against individual extremists, rather than whole groups. And the raids were also conducted under the authority of post-World War II statutes intended to prevent the government or constitution from once again being overthrown by a Nazi-type movement. Until now, those laws were almost exclusively used against nationalist and far-right gangs. http://www.aolnews.com/2010/12/15/german-raids-target-2-radical-muslim-groups/ ---------- Those are the kinds of people I was talking about in the post you referenced, not regular Turkish/muslim people - sorry if that was unclear.
And your judgment is clouded by bigoted, Nazi ideologies. Get a grip on reality Hitler. We don't want you taking your own life.
Can we start an ATW, adeelsiddiqui, Hydhypedplaya insult thread, where everyone involved can insult each other, and the rest of us won't be subjected to it? It's just too bad that any conversation has to be dragged down into this. ATW isn't looking for a real discussion or he wouldn't start every post by calling people liars, and extremists, and adeel and Hydhyp have taken the bait and seem to be outdoing ATW at gross generalized insulting posts. Please just agree to disagree, trade e-mails and send the insults back and forth there, or start an insult each other thread for only you guys. I'm sure individually you're all great people, but the petty bickering here makes it difficult to sort through anything else in the thread including your own good posts, as you are all capable of posting interesting things.
When you refer to someone as liar Mathloom every post you make, or put a post in about Islam and then include sayings like some extremists/liars/whatever other name you call them on here, it can hardly be said that you intend to have a serious discussion. When you include that in your posts it is more like you are trying to bait, provoke, insult, and drag discussion down rather than have a serious talk about issues that might be worth investigating. Why not let the substance of your post do whatever talking you have to do, and not result to name calling. It's almost like you had the idea of having a serious discussion, but along the way of typing your post your personal bitterness got in the way and you instead chose to lash out at the same people you've been going back and forth with. Like I said it's a shame because everyone involved has had good posts on the subject, but after a while the rancor and bitterness just make it too deep to wade through to find the kernels of quality discussion. If you'd like to sabotage all of your threads then go ahead and do so.
Every country has a "foriegn Drug Cartel", but you know the road goes both ways.... http://www.streetgangs.com/topics/2005/052305wing.html German young people, faced with liberal parents who are tolerant about sex, drugs and rock and roll, are increasingly rebelling by turning to right-wing extremism. Neo-nazi fashion, music and ideology have become an ever important part of German youth culture. Pretty nice piece on German gangs not only focuses on one group but the whole demographic.
Again, a matter of perspective - threads I participate in get sabotaged by the same young angry islamists all the time. However, what you have still not corrected is your blatant lie/exaggeration that I quoted in my previous post.
"streetgangs.com"? Strange article - some people like that exist, but not because these kids are "faced with liberal parents who are tolerant about sex, drugs and rock and roll".
Malaysia May Charge 200 for Deviating from Islam KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—More than 200 Muslim Shiites—including Iranians, Indonesians and Pakistanis—were detained in one of the biggest swoops on outlawed Muslim sects in Malaysia and may be charged with breaching Islamic laws, an official said Monday. Government authorities in Muslim-majority Malaysia consider only the Sunni denomination to be legal. Sunni Islam is the world's largest branch of the religion, followed by Shia Islam. Islamic officials raided a shop house in the Gombak district in central Selangor state last week and arrested the group, who were allegedly followers of the outlawed Shia sect, said Nurhamizah Othman, a public relations officer at the Selangor Islamic Religious Department. It was the largest swoop of outlawed groups in recent months, the department director, Muhammad Khusrin Munawi, told state media. He said the Shia doctrine is a threat to national security because it permits the killing of Muslims from other sects who are regarded as infidels. Ms. Nurhamizah confirmed the comments. Malaysia, a Southeast Asian country of 28 million people, is wary of religious sects that go against mainstream Islam, fearful that they may alter its image as a moderate Muslim nation. Malay Muslims make up about 60% of the population, while most of the rest are Buddhists, Hindus or Christians from the ethnic Chinese and Indian communities. The arrests of the Shia followers have been slammed by some religious scholars, who accused Islamic authorities of becoming more hard-lined. "Malaysia is trying to become a country a la Taliban that only allows one school of thought," said prominent Muslim scholar Asri Zainul Abidin. "Even though I personally don't agree with Shia teachings and even frequently criticize and debate with them, I cannot accept the approach of the allegedly democratic Malaysian government in denying the people's right to practice their faith," he said. Ms. Nurhamizah said the detainees have all been released on bail, except two Iranians. Most are likely to be charged in an Islamic court with following the teachings of a deviationist movement, which carries a penalty of up to two years in jail, she said. Among those detained were lecturers, students of higher-learning institutions, lawyers and government employees believed to have been operating in the area for nearly two years, she said. No further details were immediately available. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703886904576030950506988780.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
