blow it up! start over with Llull, Dontas, Pat, and picks. I want to build from the ground up the way OKC and Chicago did. This patchwork strategy is getting us nowhere.

Nocioni has a team option for next season, which Houston would very likely decline. This deal would open up a bit more cap space for us.

I wonder if its plausible to offer two near max contract if we amnesty Scola.

if we do this deal and decline all team options...i think we should be able to offer two max deals even without amnestying scola.

If we declined ALL options, the only players on our salary would be :

    Kyle Lowry $5,750,000
    Luis Scola $9,408,207
    Marcus Morris $1,959,960

why would you want to amnesty scola? hes a really good player, and at 9 million...hes worth it.

if we are planning on selling free agents to come to houston...then having talent like scola/lowry is helpful.

If the right deal comes along I do think we should trade scola and see what we can get..BUT to amnesty scola..thats just dumb unless you are like the heat, trying to pull 3 max level players

Scola is not a "really good" player. He's good. A starter but not worth $9 million on a good team. Shedding his salary opens up more room to SIGN free agents. Scola does nothing to attract free agents.

yeah, i put Scola's value at about $7 mil. And i don't think we currently have a player on the roster that would "attract" a superstar. It's why i'm not excited about the strategy of putting all of our eggs in the free agent basket.

WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY bette than that Lowry for Asik spill you made earlier.....minor clean-up for that major mess you made earlier:grin:

I hope this is the only move we make.....send Martin/PatP/Hill for Gordon/kaman.

This is good enough for now....then we could try another trade to get Pau over since that seems to be everybodys' man crush (except me and a few other smart minds!)

    Lowry
    Gordon
Parson (until we upgrade or Morris gets his thumb out his butt and HOOPS!)
    Kaman
    Dale

    Hehe, northwestern accents

    ANNDRAY IgwaDALLA
    Reliable shootah from tha cornAH

My early guess is its a tough life situation thats tough for regular people to deal with. But its tougher for a younger guy to handle so they'll make it THE determining factor.

Like Tracy McGrady baby mama dramas, or unfortunate illness in the family. Unless its some kind of unknown physical malady no one knew about.

    *UPDATE*
I just read through the thread & some of Turner's background info. Darn, didnt know he had it that rough with ailments

um ...no. but all three of those players were drafted by OKC, so perhaps you can find the brain power to understand my point.
