What the heck are you talking about? Yao takes the normal amount of shots for a post player. The only guys who take 20 shots a game are perimeter players. He will never take that many shots a game unless we have traded Tmac and we only have one option on offense.

I love Yao but cmon. If you havent seen Moses play souldnt get to vote. He was a dominating player night in and night out. Now sak me again in a couple of years and well see.

    the lakers

Wilt>Kareem>Shaq>Mikan (the original dominant big) now that's pedigree, but the rockets are probably second with just hakeem and moses

    FREAK! Where you been!?!?!?!?

So...how many rings do you think the Rockets are going to win in the next 10 years? Start from 2002! :p

As for the poll...whats with all the corny questions? Malone vs Yao? Seriously?

Malone can put up a shot on Yao, grab the rebound and miss 10 times and then score before Yao even jumps ONCE.

You can argue Malone vs Dream. But Yao?

    Amazing.

Maybe you should go check out some of the stats sites and check.

    This thread sucks.

There is no comparison. Malone would have squashed Yao.

Shaq, Malone, Hakeem, Robinson, Tim Duncan, Ewing, Kareem were all better than Yao.

No offense to Yao but he just cant hang with those guys.

I'm not a stat geek, as my sig shows. You can check that if you want to prove me wrong but i'm not wrong. Star post players take less shots than star perimeter players and 20 shots is quite a bit for anyone.

If your big man is taking 20 shots a game either the players around him are playing terrible or he is one of the best centers of all time. I'm sure the Dream or Kareem did it but Yao isn't on that level. I don't see how you could possibly think that in these past couple years Yao's has a lack of touches, especially in our snails pace offense.

I am like one of the biggest Yao Ming fans in the world, but Moses Malone is like the 4th or 5th greatest center in NBA history.

He was real deal in his prime and lead the 76ers to a championship and even the Rockets to one.

Moses was a tough and rugged, but Yao probably has more offense. The post game is a different animal with all the rule change. Accomplishment wise, Yao is not even close.

You're right about everything except him leading the Rockets to one. He sure had a big hand in helping Hakeem which eventually lead us to our 2 championship wins.

are we bored as a forum or something? why compare the two stars that we have right now, who have been losers all their careers, to not only 2 winners in hakeem and moses, but 2 of the most dominant players statistically in the history of the NBA.
