Bidding against Toronto? You don't think that 3rd year has something to do with Toronto not wanting him?
Honestly. . . .had we stayed pat With only Ume as and upgrade I expected at least 10 more wins. I feel he is that much better than Silas FVV - How much does he move the needle? 5 games? A 20/7 guy. So was John Wall Going from a TANK COMMANDER to People keep saying FLOOR GENERAL Very Similar stats Rocket River wait and see
Focusing on the development of the players you mentioned requires a playmaking point guard to get them quality shots within the flow of a structured offense, at a minimum. A Seth Curry or Patrick Beverley can play point guard for a team that has an elite playmaker at another position (think LeBron James). That’s not the case with the current state of the Rockets. Also, an eight-man rotation is fairly optimal for most NBA teams, so you realistically have room for two or three significant veteran additions. VanVleet was one, now we wait to see the others.
You just can't be fed up before you've seen it. How is there any credibility in that? The coach you love that he hired loves his draft picks. He came in and his assessment was: these guys are way better than I thought, let's get elite role players around them and hold them more accountable within a winning culture. Just give me 2-3 productive grown ups who work hard in practice and on the court, and I will achieve my goal of maintaining my never-missed-the-playoffs streak. We have never seen our draft picks get a fair shot. There are no other picks who were running with 0 rim protectors and 0 floor generals - two unavoidable core functions that determine lottery team from contender. The organization not caring about wins always trickles down, especially when tanking is imposed so brutally on the coach, system, acquisitions. You can even have superstars and if you don't have those 2 things (rim protector and playmaker), you are ALWAYS going to underperform. There are no examples of teams completely missing those two things and being anything other than atrocious with depressed stats for everyone. Further, the seasoned Celtics took half a season to adopt Ime's system. This team needs half a season for sure. Everyone wants to be the first to "call it" but reality is that all predictions before end of season or next summer are premature and being done without good data.
Duncan Robinson contract....will get $524,000 per game for a guy that brings the ball up the court and hands it off to Sengun or Jalen Green. Monte Morris could have done that for a second round pick (@ $9M) Rockets outsmarted themselves and got bamboozled
Wake me up when Van Bleet plays 82 games. He, Durant and A.Davis are chasing each other for games not played. I don't care about contract, i care we look like a team that we overpaid for a PG that played in the weaker division and didn't make the playoffs, got his coach fired. No matter, I will watch VanVleet kill it for us, tired of being floored the past few seasons.
What OP is saying is he wanted Evan Mobley, Jarace Walker and Ben Simmons leading this team. Talk about brutal and overpaid…
TF you talking about? He's in the top half of best lead guards in the league. That's a fact. Your logic is a bit off. I get you're upset your boy is getting the boot, but VV is a proven leader on a championship team. Why would Udoka want him? Why? For anyone questioning it, do they think they're smarter than him? LOL
Sorry but you don't know much about basketball https://www.youtube.com/live/liFgGE80IC0?feature=share KlutchSports took Stone to the woodshed....and only KlutchSports walked away.
Refuse to overpay for a franchise great in harden but decides to massively over pay for fvv. Man is not worth 40 mil per year ever.
