This isnt hate man, this is common sense. Get a grip on reality and take of the goggles for a second and look at the situation given these last couple months. It isnt going to work. The ONLY time I could see this working is when Yao comes back. But even then, I would be a little sketchy.
I've said it once, I'll say it again. Trevor Ariza sucks. At basketball in general. There is nothing he can do right, those steals, are, as you said, reaching, and gambling. The sad part is, he gambles at key possessions, e.g. the portland 1 point loss.
OMG! YES!!!! This is EXACTLY who Trevor Ariza is! He is indeed the SECOND COMING of Shandon Anderson! I find it hilarious to even see this name mentioned again, yet it couldn't be a more apt description. And much like the case of Shandon Anderson, who couldn't play a lick after he was traded to the Knicks, I don't see why Ariza should be made to be anything more than a true role/bench player. theSAGE
It isn't about his scoring or it isn't his shooting I am complaining about. Its his ability to play fundamentally. The guy just dont not have basic fundamental skills and looks like a disaster out there. Thats the situation the team is in. A player playing fish out of water who has no business being on this team. Surprise Surprise our poll is right. A whole 2010 devoted to Why does Ariza suck so much on a developing team with a 20-14 record when many thought we be at the bottom. Ariza has faults and until Rick and DM say enough is enough, I stand by our players. BTW Luther Head is rocking, we can trade Tmac for him and some fillers.
i think the team wants to force feed him, they figure if they throw him out there he'll get more experience at a faster rate and hope that prepares him for next year.
A new scapegoat. Who else can dribble and create on peremeter besides Brooks and Lowry on this team? Ariza is semi decent, so he is put into this situation, but it's a little bit out of his ability. He'd be good when Yao comes back, he'll get more open looks, and his ability to slash will be very useful by then. People still don't realize that a MLE player with 16/5/4 plus defense is money well spent. A very good role player, but not a star.

You guys act as if we have waaaaaaay better options right now. Brooks is a better shooter but he shoots a 3 ball at the 12 sec mark fumbling the ball and no one says anything?? You have 12 secs, take a couple more secs to get your footing for a better shot!!!! Hayes gives a simple tap for a three point play and no one says wtf? joesr, Those are legitimate points...I was pissed off at Hayes the most.....foul him...don't reach...weak.... But still 7 turnovers.....SEVEN....... And he was killing any offensive flow in the 4th quarter....if I were Brooks I would FREEZE him out of the offense late in the games.....unless he is spotting up for a shot....nothing that allowed him to dribble, or try to create, he just flat out SUCKS at it. We didn't bring in Ariza for a championship run this year. We brought him as a role player for a championship contending team for the next 5 years. With Yao. With the players TMac's contract brings in. With the players we possibly sign after Yao's contract expires.
