Alright, this has gone on long enough...in multiple threads. You've been out of line for quite awhile. Either stop it or take a vacation. But, for now...GTFO of mine.

I think this is right. Does he have a sports psychologist? I think we should invest in KPJ's mental health. Give him a sports psychologist, a nutritionist, a (male) masseuse, and provide him with some no-strings attached women who will take care of his needs such that he doesn't feel compelled to drink alcohol and do drugs in his pursuit of women. That's where the trouble happens.

I get being annoyed by his shtick, it's certainly overly toxic, but he's just a harmless loser looking for attention.

I never said anything about who knows more lol.. I’m also not gonna say anyone knows more than me bc we all have our opinions. Clutch isn’t a big Sengun guy, which many of you would disagree, but it’s all opinion based. I do respect clutch’s knowledge, which is why I listen to him all the time

This is 100% true. Kevin McHale has likely forgotten more about basketball than most on this board ever learned.... but his track record as a coach, analyst, and GM would convince you that he didn't know the first thing about the game.

You can be infinitely knowledgeable and still be completely wrong about any given take.

I don't think many would say Don Chaney didn't know basketball... but he definitely tried to run Olajuwon out of Houston just like many want to run KPJ out of Houston now.

Please don’t ever put KPJ and Dream in the same sentence when talking basketball. Dream was a franchise icon. Cmon man.

I completely agree! The thing is that they’re saying how much more clutch knows, which is fine.. but don’t y’all think Stone and Silas knows even more than him then? The answer should be yes, and both of those guys believe in KPJ! So I can say that KPJ is the real deal bc stone and Silas also believe that, and they know more than any of us! Gotta work both ways imo

You can't compare them to one another, but Olajuwon was the most talented player on the team with a history of losing his cool (considerably worse than KPJ ever has) and his own head coach was trying to run him out of town

KPJ is currently the most talented player on the Rockets and certain fans want to run him out of town because of an incident of him losing his cool..

Let's face it, those same fans would have sided with Don Chaney.

    Curious..

Has there ever been contracts that had both player and team options? I do not recall one and do not see anything in the rules as to whether or not it's allowed. That way if KPJ outplayed the contract amount he could opt out to negotiate an extension or if he possibly became a problem the team could choose to opt out.

Say a 4 yrs for 60 with both a TO and PO after year 3.

In the NBA, historically no coach has had the power to run a TRUE NBA superstar out of town. In fact the opposite has been true. Hell Magic Johnson was running coaches out of LA in the early 80s.

The deal with Dream was over money and the crap rosters that he was forced to play on for years. They accused him of faking an injury, which could have been a ploy by Dream’s agent to get paid. In today’s NBA , there’s NO WAY that Dream wouldn’t have gotten a max deal from the Rockets or he would have been LOOONG GONE.

So Dream was a hot head but he had unhappy superstar problems, while KPJ has head case problems. It’s just different.

Funny, I never remembered Dream throwing soup or driving home mid game. That's crap that really young and dumb kids do. Say what you want about Akeem's temper, but he took care of business whenever he was on the court. If KPJ had as much talent as Dream did in his pinky, he would still be on the Cavs.

I thought you could take a joke? I see......rubbed a little too close to home?

Sheesh, did you actually think people thought you were a massage therapist for Watson? LOL - ok then....and which donut do you recommend it is breakfast time, and I was more trending towards a Kolache!

3 years 45 million with fully non guaranteed team option in the last year seems like the absolute peak of peaks he could expect to get today.

    Still too many questions.

Finish this upcoming season improved and on his best behavior and I could see a longer more guaranteed deal for around the same money per year. 4/60

Finish this season vastly improved and on his best behavior and maybe the per year number gets close to the 20s. 4/70 - 4/80

I’m hoping we just wait. Even if the deal today could be a bargain, I’d rather just wait and see and pay more if he proves it.

That would be the early extension maybe a club option for year 4 as well.

I think he already proved it....his only transgression was minor - got mad left a game in which he wasn't going to play anyway.....that is such a small deal.

The jury is still out regarding whether or not Porter will ever mature. I'm not sure we want him as a long term answer at PG..
