It's not gonna work. For your sanity, I'd stop thinking it will. The best bet the Republicans have is that all this smearing by the RRs will lead someone to try and take Obama's life. Until today, I didn't think that was possible. Now I'm starting to worry it's really going to happen.

The McCain campaign is doing everything it can to rouse up hatred against Obama. More and more, they're trying to link him to the great Enemy in our "war on terror". The terrorist-sounding name, he was a Jihadist as a youth, and now he "pals around with terrorists". Lower and lower they sink, and the more depraved they get in their accusations.

So, with all that, if some lunatics are driven to violent action against Obama, what is their responsibility in all of this?

It's funny, in one thread you defend McCain in the Keating scandal because Congress did not find him guilty of anything, yet here you basically condone the idea of killing someone even though he has obviously done his time for his crimes and has become a respected member in academia (which I'm sure you'll blame on that profession's "inherent liberalism" or other such nonsense).
