agree with above. and the characters on heroes are just... idiotic. they make the stupidest, most illogical decisions.
Re: Peter borrowing Sylar's power: Didn't the writers from a season or two back already conclude that when this happens, Peter goes mad/all alienated from the "hunger" to kill? To that end, why didn't he have to start chopping off eyebrows (of the already dead) to intuit his new multi-pack of abilities? On Hiro down with the sickness: Wasn't it similarly established that a drop of the cheerleader's blood was a cure-all tonic? A little dab will do ya? So much so that every subsequent scene where she's not at the Red Cross mobile bloodlab, or self-mutilating & giving away the runoff to random lepers, an act of supreme selfishness? At least they borrowed the liquid T2 animations from twenty years ago to prop up suspense for the next season.
HEROES reminds me of when Marvel create the NEW UNIVERSE Heroes that acted more like the people next door. the only problem is. . they eventually start acting unlike people next door The show now. . . the heroes act like heroes in comics and movies more than The People next door ergo dumb illogical decisions . . . Spoiler The Sylar Decision . . . .how many people in the world know they exist? The Gov could not spin this away from that? Seriously?? Rocket River
I agree and just illogical as many have mentioned, it just sets up a ticking time bomb. Before the last few mins. of the volume I was enjoying the finale but the whole sylar deal just makes no sense.
I wonder how he was able to select which one he got Rocket River BTW . . . . . Does this still point to the horrible future Pete and hiro went too?
That would make sense. What was the line he said in the limo? "I bet you think I didn't get this one?" or "I bet you didn't think I got this one, too?" I can't remember.
I think the comment, was "I bet you didnt think ide take this one". It looks like he can only take one at a time. But now that Sylar is being controlled Peter has a bank of powers at his fingertips, he can just shake his brothers hand and then absorb a new power each time. Unless they pull something to the effect that since hes not using the powers peter cant take them. I wonder what would happen if peter took sylars original ability, if he could learn how to add other powers and not just one at a time.
But I thought that only HRG, Mother Petrelli & Parkman now know that the Senator is a Manchurian Candidate? I thought the cheerleader and Peter were off trying to save him, when those three hatched their plot. Was it established that they knew as well?
An interesting finale but I don't see how this makes it past season 5 as this point and this is coming from one of the show's bigger fans. That being said and with the season being over, I see no need for spoiler tags anymore and no ones using them lately. I was glad to see Sylar finally offed. I know I know, a technicality since Nathan is a ticking time bomb on the path to becoming Sylar, but thank ****ing hell he's gone. I guess that's what makes him such a damn good villain, but he's come back from the dead 80 times and that had to stop. Maybe they can just keep Parkman around Nathan constantly and therefore suppress Nathan for all of eternity, lawlz.
If peter only absorbed the Shape shifting power then I don't understand how he got it. Assuming he can only absorb one power at a time than how did he get the shape shifting one when sylar wasn't even using that one at the time they went into the room to battle him? (Sylar was in his original form and was using the lightning bolt power he got from Kristen Bell a.k.a. "L" i think)
When Nathan and Peter tag-teamed on Sylar, how can sylar not just use his telekenisis to kill them off quickly. WTF was that all about? Both brothers just come back only bruised up. What a crock...
^ I also hate how they refuse to show us some serious action fighting. It's just all been drama and when its finally time for a fighting scene they close the doors and don't let us see what happened. WTF is that???
This is exactly what I was thinking when I was watching the show, nobody should have been able to touch him without him letting them...except for Hiro.
