Wow props to River for the spot on guess. These episodes I felt like were a payback to the fans from Tim Kring, as a token of thanks for stickin with us after we ran through last season due to strike. As for analysis? Mannnnnnnnnnnn I'm CONFUSED, I'm afraid I gotta go back and watch the last episode of last season and try to follow back to now, because there were wayyy too many twists too quickly......is it just me or is this season moving waaaaaaaay too fast?
confusing episode but action packed, this one wasn't like the last season where episodes would just have nothing happen in them until the very last 15 mins, sorta like a soap opera.
Spoiler Not gonna lie, i was sorta big upp'n my man Dr.Suresh when he made his move on Maya, but what the hell's goin on with the Hulk storyline? He's gonna turn green next? Can anyone try and give their best summary of what the hell's goin on overall?
Those episodes were filled with quite a lot, and I KNEW Ms. Petrelli was suspicious she always seemed it with wanting to stop Nathan from stopping the bomb to blow up New York in season 1. And how did Parkman get to Africa? or are we not supposed to know yet?
Yeah, the scenes of him showing his powers to Maya and seeing himself in the mirror were straight out of The Fly.
You might wanna stick a spoiler tag on that bud. Put [S p o i l e r] and then [/Spoiler] after what you say. (Of course the first "Spoiler" has all the letters together.) Spoiler Parkman ended up in Africa cuz when the "Future Peter" went to go and retrieve his weapon he shot Nathan with, Parkman was there first and then tried to read his mind to find out what his plans were, and then "Future Peter" teleported him to Africa and left him there to get him outta the way.
Spoiler Thought the episode moved a bit too fast. Too many damn things happening. What's up with Nikki not being Nikki and now being some sort of Ice Woman? Hope they explain that soon enough. Glad Suresh gets some powers as he gets rather boring with his constant "Ah ha!" moments. Also...what the heck happened to the real Peter? Future Peter put him inside the body of some other person with powers?
Spoiler Agree, waaay too fast. And dunno whats goin on with new Nikki. But, yeah Future Peter put Current Peter in the body of the bald guy, in order to keep him trapped in that cell and safe from....welll safe from something....but when Kristen Bell's character tweaked out and short circuited the place, the guy got out and now is loose and possibly in a position to be hurt instead of being safe from whatever it was they were protecting him from....and thats why Mrs.Patrelli sends Future Peter to go find him
Spoiler Last time we saw Nikki wasn't she engulfed in flames? Fire and Ice being opposites I'm not sure how that would work but it may have something to do with it.
Spoiler Also the way I have it currently mapped out: Claire's biological mom is the fire lady, and biological dad is Nathan Patrelli. Her uncle is Peter patrelli, who she loves. And now....from mama patrelli....Sylar is her other uncle? The fire & ice thing with Nikki I dunno about.....she died (supposedly) in that fire saving the kid and the muscle memory girl.....but what makes more sense to me at least is the guy who shoots blue flame and Claire's fire shooting mom maybe? Don't know how, but maybe brother or somethin? Ahhh crap so many loose ends and plot holes...
Spoiler Maybe it could be her half brother or something like that. The villains were laid out as the Pyro, the Magneto, the guy that feeds on fear, and the guy that Peter is currently trapped in. Now...they didn't really some to embellish too much on him which leads me to believe his power is stronger than the other three. Sylar is Peter and Nathan's brother? What about Sylar's mom from season 1? I'll go on a small rant tangent and say that this show, right now, is suffering a lot in the writing because of how limitless the powers and abilities of the characters seem to be. They don't appear to like explaining things and they seem to just make the characters be able to do whatever they want. Heal? No problem. Move through time? Easy. Track anyone on the planet? Of course. The best episode in this series is still the one that explained Mr. Bennet and Claire's story with Ted nearly going nuclear at the end because it was the one that did the best at explaining a certain relationship in the series. It had something in an epsiode that the last season, and seemingly this one as well don't appear to want to work towards: closure.
One Pet Peeve . . . Spoiler One thing that is bothering me. . ... How does Sylar know about the Adrenaline thing? How does he LEARN that he has to 'eat' that part of the brain? I mean . . how do you discover that???? Mistakenly eat a brain. Rocket River
Too fast? The #1 complaint about last season was the snail pace that led nowhere. This season needed to start fast or people were going to drop it left and right.
His original ability was knowing how things work. That's how he knew how to get the first guy's ability at the very beginning. It was an action packed episode that added a bunch of new twists. Should be a fun ride.
I know that the show has been pretty gratuitous with ripping off/paying tribute to X-Men and other comics, but c'mon - The German...uses magnetic energy? Pretty soon Claire's gonna be popping adamantium claws and be nicknamed Weapon Y.
