Peter's powers should have caused him to absorb his dad's powers even before Arthur sucked Peter's power out. Which means that Peter should have been able to hold onto at least some of his powers... or maybe the only power he has left IS his dad's, but he just doesn't know how to use it. Crazy stuff.
Yeah but then he sucked out all of his powers... If I have 5 apples in a basket and then someone steals my apple basket, just because I put a 6th apple in the basket before the theft doesn't mean that one apple is still there. APPLES APPLES APPLES APPLES Sorry, I typed it so many times in my reply the word has lost meaning for a while.
Eh, it was alright...providing some background, stuff that happened in the past...I'm finding it harder and harder to watch...
If you remember back when they were using the little girl to find people with powers, she said that the bad man could see her, i would imagine Arthurs powers are very similar to parkman sr.'s powers, so if hiro was dreaming about him maybe Arthur could sense it. Arthur killed parkman sr by just snapping his neck, if parkman sr. had a power arthur did not there is no way he wouldnt have taken the power first. Combine that with teleportation and its possible, the only problem i have with it then, is should the spirit walker have seen it coming? he knew when hiro was trying to attack him from behind all those times, you would think he could see that coming. Although on the other side Arthur could have powers over the spirit walkers mind and erased the memory much like he did his wifes.
I also wonder if when the new eclipse comes back everyone that arthur has taken their power will get it back. If you think back about the bad man "parkman sr." its like he dissapeared for a while, then after the last eclipse the little girl felt him again.
Me too. Maybe having sylar as a brother and his ability to take powers by killing someone, it balanced the nature of the ability out.
but the spirit walker guy probably resigned himself to dying if he did see arthur coming. remember how hiro try to trick the spirit walker by going back a few minutes only to be hit again in the head? spirit walker seems like the type of guy who would not try to change the course of things even if he knows whats coming
This episode was horrible. After watching that, I felt like the air was let out of the season. Maybe this one slowed the pace down to build up for a couple of good ones. The episode made me sad.
Everyone saying the season is becoming hard to watch are truly laughable. It's a recap episode people, every show in America has at least one episode where they have to do some background/filler type stuff. It wasn't that bad of an episode at all. Sure it's the obligatory recap ep, but bad? Hardly.
I felt like this was easily the best episode of the season, it went back to when Heroes was a GREAT show
Very enjoyable episode tonight, especially enjoyed the scene between Sylar and Elle. Spoiler Although, I didn't like how quickly Elle forgave herself. Thought that was a little cheesy.
I wouldn't say it was horrible, as that title was taken a couple of episodes back...I kind of liked it..I was hoping to see Sylar bang Elle, but maybe that's for later... So Hiro is now 10, Peter still sux, Claire and Daphne are still hot and Parkman is a loser...sweet..
Last nites episode just didn't do anything for me. The post power taking scene with Elle and Sylar just felt a little too cutesy. And the whole Hiro thinking he's 10, uh ok.
I loved last night's episode. The Matt/Angela/Arthur/Daphne scenes, the Hiro/Ando scenes, the Elle/Gabriel scenes. I loved them all. This is probably the last "cutesy cuddly" episode we are going to get... plus I liked the Elle attacking Sylar to vent ... I just can't get enough of the electric special effects (which I think that blue light must be the easiest to produce since we have about five people that can do it now )
I've just finished that episode, what's in it is totally attractive to me because right now I'm really eager to see what's yet to come. Some parts of the episode seems too simple,Elle forgave herself that easy and control her out-of-hand power then? and still confused with the fact that Sylar got Elle's power but how?Sylar's unlike Peter,he cannot absorb other's ability without killing 'em. How's that possible ? Did I miss something?
How I see it...Peter's empathy power is the core power of the Petrelli family, and manifests itself differently in each family member. Peter, the purest, has only that power. Arthur warps it into his own version, where he gains their powers by stealing them permanently. Sylar has is own twisted version, where he takes their power by understanding them. Peter = takes it by heart & emotion Arthur = takes it by hand & force Sylar = takes it by mind & logic
Sylar & Elle: Always thought Elle was a little crazy, now that Sylar is an angel they make a perfect couple. Who's side is Sylar on though? Mama team or Papa team? Hiro: I always thought he was 10 yrs old, so its fitting he is where he is.... Arthur: He wants people to have powers so he can profit? Teams: So who would win in an all out battle? I would say Arthur & Sylar at this time are too powerful, though if Peter goes back to where he was and Hiro joins the group then they have a shot.
But he wasn't a natural... he got his ability through a vial. I think that Apollo is right in where the show wants to take us... but in that regard, how does Claire get her ability... mom has fire, dad has a manufactured flying ability Is Claire's a natural or a created ability?
