No it didn't, because two grown men could easily place another grown man in a box. It's not like Adam is a big guy.
This is why heros will turn into a joke like 24. There are different ways each character can use their powers, not to mention the writers altering them as the series continues. Hiro controls time; He can freeze time, teleport, or go forward/backward in time. All he has to do is freeze time, walk up to him, and teleport him into the coffin.
Actually, now that I think about it, one other character also had the power to teleport people: Future Peter. He sent Parkman to the desert in the first episode. We don't know if he got that power from Hiro or not, though. Still, I agree with RR: That power came out of nowhere. Very sloppy of Kring.
This has been my growing issue with the show - it's as if they didn't fully think things out before running with the episodes, and are now creating more frequent and more glaring plot holes, contradictions, and continuity errors. I do everything I can to let them go, but at times it can just be maddening. I have telepathy, but it'll be easier for me to find out what you're thinking by physically inspecting the outer surface of your brain! Because that's how this power works! And it gives me an instant zombie-like hankering to get at those brains! And I'm not really clear on why exactly I had to have this power anyway, or how I got it just by fixing a busted up watch! GARBAGE, DAYTIME SOAPS LEVEL WRITING
he did try reading their minds and they were blank, because they know of peter's absorption of parkman's powers so they weren't thinking of anything at the moment he was trying to read their minds, therefore he had to resort to opening up their heads.
I don't think it's a new power, guys. Would you want them to show him and Ando putting Adam back in the coffin every single time? No. This is how they portrayed that but I don't think Hiro has any "new" powers.
I know, it doesn't make the notion of teasing out thought-up plans by physically looking over the surface of the brain any less idiotic. Again, I think they're tripping over their own feet unnecessarily. When they, without need, get into explaining powers....it ends up being like a little kid trying to lie his way out after getting caught red handed. Leave the hows of Sylar's power a mystery, and there's no irritation at how flimsy it is (hint - the explanation shouldn't be tougher for me to accept than a world where people can fly or turn others into ice). Don't explain that Peter retains all the powers he encounters (Claire's healing) and the continuity error is a lot less glaring when future Peter has a massive scar. Sometimes it's best to leave things vague. That's leaving alone how absurd the character writing has been. "How's this for a TWIST! Sylar will be a misunderstood pureheart - we can do it in an episode or two" It's not the shift that's galling - it's the unbelievable speed and steepness of the switch. These are things that should take place over the course of an entire season, not within a single episode. And when you do it with most of the principle characters all at once, it cheapens everything. They were already doing a good job with characters like Noah and Angela. Give a "good" guy an unwinnable choice to add grey....give them a bad moment to add grey....give a "bad" guy some understanding (Sylar's compulsion angle rather than evil or ambition) or a shot at redemption. But don't just shake up the snowglobe cause it'll be a cool (but pointless) plot twist. Evan
Nothing in the history of the show demonstrates that Hiro and Ando are anything beyond a couple of nerds Even hiro's training in the past leaves Adam with like Centuries of more experience Rocket River
Hiro and Ando . . .versus Adam .. . Putting someone in the coffin is not easy to begin with DON'T ASK ME HOW I KNOW . . just kidding However Hiro and Ando are not physical folx while this is not Doogie Houser and his side kick trying to put Triple H in a box it IMO is not that far from it Rocket River
tisk tisk tisk . .. hiro does not 'stop' time. . he only slows it down That is new this season . . . See the episode with Daphne that was easy enough to take but . . . I can get with the teleport explaination with the freezing of time but it should have been SHOWN and not inferred if that were the case Rocket River
I'll continue to watch, but agree this season, everything is all over the place and too many holes... ON a bright note, Claire's booty looked nice...
I am not the only one that is questioning it. and it was not Understood or really inferred In each case. . .you did not see hiro and Ando huffing and puffing from exertion they look as cool as the other side of the pillow . .. like nothing happened Rocket River
Why would Ando be huffing and puffing? Wouldn't he be frozen in time as well as Adam, since only Hiro can manipulate time?
http://heroeswiki.com/Space-time_manipulation You're taking this show too serious. You need to watch more 24
nnaaa not too seriously I like the lil show and talking about it is entertaining what ya pasted about the Space Time thing was fine . .until they had the speedster able to move etc which they stated he only slows down time they basically changed to move the story in a new direction without imo a good reason... Rocket River
OK I need some help. My contractor finally started work on my house Saturday. The first thing they did was remove the Dish from the house. I have no TV, so I need to find a site where I can download tonight's episode after it airs. Anybody got any suggestions for getting a good copy?
Hulu.com takes 8 days from the airing, so you probably are better off going to the nbc website. or you can try here... http://latest-episode.blogspot.com/
