Harden has followed the manual on how to ruin his own image, word after word. He has been his own enemy, not the press. Great player, bad teammate, very bad professional and worse leader. Good luck James!
on the other hand, no one really b****es about DMo . . . it's more like wistful longing amirite @DaDakota ?
I wrote this about Rino but I don't get many opportunities to recycle it . . . applies here as well https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/release-the-kraken.290410/page-3#post-11745693
Looking forward to Tilman apologizing for his half measures, meddling, and not going "all in" with a contending team. Haven't gotten it yet. Some of the responses in this thread are big time yikes.
show me on the doll where Harden hurt u...the butthurt is hilarious dudes that never even liked him or wanted him gone for years are now some of the main ones b*tching and crying all day
Watt quit on the team, he should have honored his entire contract...at least that’s what I’ve been told all athletes need to do or they’re weak minded and b*tches...the double standard and selective outrage isn’t surprising tho Watt is lucky his request got honored immediately instead of having to go through some situation where he’s starting the season on a team he no longer wants to be a part of
Different systems collectively bargained by different groups. The NFL specifically is set up with large upfront payments with the understanding that players may be cut at the back end of their deal. This has been the understanding at least tacitly agreed to by the NFLPA and the NFL. NBA is a bidirectional fully guaranteed commitment. If the team wanted to force the issue on JJ they were within their rights to do so. It's clear they were thankful to not have to pay him $17 million next year to avoid losing face.
Huge difference is Watt had ZERO trade value. An unmovable NFL contract, but that's not fitting the narrative that you're spitting right now.
He would have been cut for cap reasons if he hadn't asked for it first. The nature of NFL contracts is they aren't binding at the end.
Not even mad at him! I get it. Stuff happens but he isn't a Rocket anymore so it doesn't belong here. Just saying it took a prime Lebron Kyrie Irving and Kevin love together with stacked role players to beat the Warriors team. We got him Cp3 (great but got injured), Dwight just an overpriced role player at that point, and Westbrook (look at Wiz right now). I don't have any compassion or empathy for guys like Tillman or Les who are Billionaires and probably did some crime against humanity to get their money. They could have gotten Harden 3 superstars in their prime to help James Harden win a title but instead continued to look in a discount bin to fill the roster. It still takes 3 Stars to win. Go Win that Title Harden!
You'll be surprised at how the knowledge of an attorney allows him to navigate the loopholes of the law that can earn wealth. Look at other wealthy people that are former and or practicing attorneys. They know how to make money because of the knowledge of every facet of law in the United States inside out.
