Because I am under the age of 70 for one. Its just a boring family oriented suburb. I'm a city guy, what can I say? Sugar Land is cookie cutter and boring. Like I said, great place work, living not so much... it has no character. No excitement.
M Lounge: http://www.mintspice.com/m_lounge.html Its actually pretty cool Spoiler if you are a super rich, single, middle aged indian dude who enjoys a guy to girl ratio of 5:1 and too lazy or intimidated to drive to the city
Believe me, the people who don't like Sugar Land aren't just jealous - they just don't like it. The Burbs are the burbs - safe, docile, quiet and bland.(except the food in some cases) It's also super affordable and a great place to raise kids because of the aforementioned reasons. That's it. Whatever floats your boat.
If you went to Kempner, you probably didn't live in the Sugar Land city limits Cullinan Park is owned by the City of Houston. That's why it's ghetto and trashed.
If you're looking to go around Sugarland, I suggest I-10 or 45. You'll never even see it. 59 goes right through though, if I'm not mistaken.
That's exactly the only thing burbs are good for. I would agree that they aren't good for much else... that's why I'm always in Houston for everything else.
Might need its own thread. Its so hidden. Doesn't belong in the suburbs. I passed by it at least 250 times before finally checking it out. You can tell that chef knows what hes doing.
They brought down one of the Imperial Sugar buildings today. Video at: http://www.click2houston.com/video/26189036/index.html. Drove by it one last time over the weekend.
