Well, in GARM there was a thread today about Marcus Camby building a home in Pearland. A few posters suggested Pearland was the new Sugar Land since Scola, Wafer, and some of the other names in the NBA have homes there. SamFisher brought up that it is intensely close to which suburb is better. Thought I'd start a thread about it...

Just to post some stats here from Wikipedia...

Discuss... which is the better suburb?

Kind of pointless because everyone is going to pick their own town.

Most of those players have homes in only two areas- Silverlake and Shadow Creek. Nice neighborhoods with big houses, and they're close to 288 which is an easy shot into downtown.

Well.. the debate isn't about that. It's mainly just comparing Pearland vs. Sugar Land.

There are parts of acres homes that really look like the suburbs.

Huh. I've lived in Houston my entire life and never heard af acres homes. Before going to the website, I thought it might be a trailer park base on the above responses.

    Interesting.

Sugar Land or Pearland? They are both equally miserable places.

Now that 59 is like 80,000 lanes and 288 is still 2 in some places I would have to vote for Sugarland.

Hurry up and expand 288. There is no need for all that room in between the N and S bound lanes.
