Stone is a peacock, loving the attention of being a GM and trying to take credit for Morey's sucesses. And the way he propagates all of Tilly's lies and concocts alternate realities, he is TF's Rudy Giuliani.
He's just upset about what is happening, he doesn't seem to understand that the moves that he's making are good -- it's just the results aren't what he agrees with. Which, I would say just about none of us agree with the results other than Fertitto.
Once again...nothing stone does matters. Everything is ownership-driven. Stone is irrelevant to this franchise.
Wait. So taking a shot at a job that only 30 people in the world have, NBA GM? Especially when you may get only a few chances to be considered, especially given the few number of Black GM's in sport? A shot that he has probably been targeting for years if not decades. He has been part of the organization, so he knows what is going on. But how many people actually turn that opportunity down?
Morey was irrelevant after Tilman arrived. Was relegated to just making tax-saving moves his final two years.
I completely disagree, Morey's trade for RoCo was hardly irrelevant. Morey being the GM gave Harden some comfort and trust. This is not insignificant.
No problem with him taking job, just dont talk out of your ass like your the real reason Morey was successful and then drop one shitshow after another.
The Covington trade was a nice move but made simply to help make Westbrook a competent player, aka it stemmed from a move made entirely because ownership demanded it.
Yes, and he stays out of my way because I make him lots of money and keep our guests and associates very happy.
many elite Est n Wst teams covet RoCo's D n talent, fertites just let him stay in fighting for h-town for just ONE playoff…gave him away to our competitor for non… That's why we could hardly land elite players in recent two yrs, also that might be the key reason brodie wanna quit, the beard refused 50mil/season. Hurting…rox reputation got ruined by that idiot.
Not mad at Stone here, the luxury tax moves were done before Stone took over. Stone is fine and people shouldn't have an agenda to scapegoat him. The owner pays and dictates decisions towards it, especially if it's a trend as we've seen. Morey had to do the same thing, the Rockets have not paid the tax under Fertita. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...ucing-payroll-avoiding-luxury-tax-per-report/
Can someone explain to me the point of spending 4.8 million on the late 2nd rounder? edit just had it answered here https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/it’s-over.308539/#post-13228777
Just a little sweetener to get Detroit to accept Ariza's salary. Still end up saving more money overall.
