Anthony Davis has a better chance of being the best player in the league next year

Why am I not surprised it's "what" who started this thread. Are you looking for new team this year or sticking with grizz?

He's an amazing player but he is not even close to what jordan was. I was more interested in Lebron in a Cavs uniform more than Golden state. As I am sure alot of America was as well. As much as I love Mchale Houston does need to take a look at some more strategic approaches to the game. It is one thing when you have a player with Hakeem's mentality than having someone of Dwight's or Harden's. This is where I would love to get someone like Elie and possibly Sam Cassell on the Rocket's bench. The Warriors just oozed confidence and organization. Steve Kerr helped Curry look unstoppable out there even when we had a guy like James Harden who could easily be just as beloved and amazing.

It's pretty amazing how I don't even have to read "what" threads, I just open 'em up, check out the first sentence, and say, "yep, he's full of **** again."

NBA definitely do love to market him and his family every chance they get. He seems to appeal to a more mainstream brand they're reaching for.

    1. Face of the franchise that represents an upscale, high income city in San Francisco (technically Oakland but no one ever mentions that)

    2. Grew up wealthy as the son of a former NBA player.

    3. Very religious and family oriented.

    4. He looks boyish and innocent unlike all the tough-looking, muscular athletes we usually see.

Compare that to Lebron, Durant, and Harden who grew up impoverished and fatherless and they're stories just aren't appealing to bringing in new fans.

WOOOOOOOTTTT??? you can't be serious with this statement. The Warriors are one DEEEEEEP team. There were plenty of games where Curry didn't play all that well. Plenty of games where Thompson didn't play well. More often than not it didn't really matter because they had somebody stepping up that very night or series. The Clippers may have one of the best starting units in the league but not much else.

Remember when everybody thought Gilbert Arenas was going to be the greatest shooter?

Can't we just wait how Curry's future going to pans out?

Ummm...Lebron and Durant along with Kobe are the top 3 in NBA related endorsements so I don't see where you are going with this. Curry is definitely a fan favorite, but still has a way to go to get to the big 3. In fact, there are a ton of Blake Griffin commercials that he also needs to catch up to. But Under Armour got a steal getting Curry wrapped up and I think it will be huge for their brand. I do like how you snuck Harden into that group though. His story probably isn't as appealing because nobody likes to see a guy shoot 15 FT's a game via flop after flop.

He's on a stacked team. It's a huge reason for his success this season. In years past, he could be stopped. Things change quickly in the NBA, let's see how he adjusts as he tries to win 2-5 more titles.

lmao...tell me u truly believe "the most watched finals" has nothing to do with Lebron's freaking beastly performance.
also note curry "the new jordan" received zero vote for the finals MVP!!! even Lebron on the losing team received 4 votes.

Jordan did not make dunking looks cool, Dr J makes dunking looks cool.

Curry will be the GOAT shooter, and thats it.

Stephen Curry = might go into the history books as one of the best shooters in the NBA
Michael Jordan = one of the best players on BOTH ends of the floor

Who cares what the kids think now a days, Curry just won a championship and he's marketable. He is very marginal in terms of defense but is impossible to guard on offense.

Kobe is the closest person to MJ at his point (IMO) but I can't see the Warriors being able to keep their group of guys happy and together for more than a year or so before everyone is going to need to be resigned. The development of Anthony Davis and the return of Durant will present as issues for Curry and company once the playoffs begin.

Also the Rockets might play more disciplined and could achieve a great result in the playoffs again next year.. who knows. It's definitely going to be a long off season..
