well SHITTE, this is terrible news. guess I spoke too soon Amber Heard appears to have left Twitter after Elon Musk takeover https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/04/entertainment/amber-heard-twitter/index.html
Contributing members trying to limit non contributing members’ free speech! CF has a peasant and serf system!
Lol all these non contributing people posting YouTube videos on the d&d @Os Trigonum They copying 99ers
Exactly the same exact people b****ing about cancel culture were perfectly fine 50 years ago when the market was more reactionary than woke and "canceled" things like lgbtq media. Another core trait of fascism. Free market principles and individual rights for me, none for thee(people who don't belong to my tribe)
He makes another good point that the inherent nature of "right wing social media" means it will always fail because a social media platform most importantly has to be brand safe to generate consistent revenue.
Somebody hurt Elon's little feelings so he decided to buy Twitter. After he got over his little tantrum he said to himself "Oh ****. This is a really bad idea." He filed a lawsuit to get out of it. Had to end up buying it before he got his ass kicked in court. Now he is just whining on his 44 billion dollar platform and being an all around douchebag.
I think Elon will make it successful in the end. It will take a while though because eventually, he will want to win these advertisers back. So he will need to figure out how to do that.
The only way to do that is to put someone in charge of Twitter and walk away, letting it go back to some semblance of what it was before he bought it. The Musk ego will not allow that and advertisers aren't going to spend big bucks to market to deplorables. Just look at the ads on right wing radio--heating oil futures, hair loss magic cures, boner extenders, My Pillow, Trump coins--all crap con stuff.
