Elon playing model un diplomat is the latest and worst pivot away from the 4-5 companies (children?) he's juggling. Seems like he's burning all available credit for this big one. The stakes are high though I can't help thinking it's some epic distraction away from his core businesses or lawsuits.
Nope. My entire point is that Elon is just another CEO who will sell out to the Chinese while slurping up federal subsidies. His free speech proclivities are very narrow and mostly the anti woke/anti worker vein.
In a meritocracy world, the Musk knob slobers would be be worshipping someone like John B Goodenough, not Musk. In a meritocracy in terms of contributions to the world someone like John B Goodenough would be the billionaire and not Musk. The " entrepreneurial spirit" has really fried people's brains on understanding what is intelligence and what is just charisma and narcissism. Btw did anyone have him as a professor at UT? Everybody in the United States is driven by profit motive. These are fairly egregious allegations, don't just lump people together
How is Gates lucky as one example. Making the computer useable for the average person was a brilliant idea and the tools like Microsoft Word are brilliant manifestations of that idea
Did you read my post? Seems like you didn't. I said he's just like every other billionaire that puts profit motive over everything. I literally said that in my post. I said he's different because he thinks he's some great hero, even with this he's claiming to do it for the betterment of humanity. Also, speak for yourself, not everyone is driven by profit motive.
Profit motive isn't what drives a lot these guys first. Its developing a great product. There is nothing wrong with that. Guy chases his dream, is successful is what makes Capitalism awesome. Whatever you're saying is just hating for whatever reason which I do not care

There are others in your post besides Musk. I don't know much about Musk. I really think one thing he did is make a cool electric car. If it's that's simple then it's just that simple Musk didn't just invest in Tesla he made Tesla. He made millions as a founder of a company. If he saw opportunity in government pushing electric vehicles, whatever. He took advantage
I'm just going to say you should learn a bit more about Musk, he didn't make Tesla and he wasn't a founder. But yes, it is fair to say he led the company to new heights.
