Seems to me like they traded a nothing for something. Maybe, hopefully(?) Lane can be a better DB than at least 1 of the guys they've been running out there, and then they got picks (better than I would have expected, frankly). Brown has been obviously terribly unhappy in Houston, and vocally so, for whatever reasons, and that was never going to change. Everybody moves on.

Not sure what the Rockets and Astros have to do with anything.

LOL oh yeah? You're also upset about your stupid actions costing your millions of dollars in a failed power play? Oh, did you mean that you are also too stupid to understand idioms? Do you have CTE as well? Are you married to a simpleton that believes in healing crystals?

You have to be more specific when you say that you know how Duane Brown feels.

    No you don't.

Forgive me if you're part of his entourage, or his agent's firm, or...

You would have to pay Graham a lot, he’s not that reliable, and you just invested money in CJ

Well we got their second next year because the hawks spent their second this year on Sheldon Richardson

I think the Texans seeing what Watson has done without brown for 6 games made it easier to trade him. Seahawks were calling Houston about brown as soon as one of their guys went down.

Duane will have to redo his contract and who knows how much he will ask for

The poster who call jj watt = jj fatt, wish he was still here. He saw ahead of time, should have traded jj watt when stock was still high. if we truly in rebuild mode gotta get rid watt for picks, cut cushing and our shtty offensive line/cbs. And don't even want to mention st which is so shtty. If it was last year season team, the plug in watson would have been easy fix. We lost too much off season and have too many holes, i say we restart and blow itup. Problem is i don't trust Rick Smith to rebuild a competent team to save his life.

Not sure why so many are unhappy. He clearly wasn't happy playing for the Texans, to the point of forfeiting millions of dollars. He's also not the same player he was a few years ago, and he had burnt so many bridges that he probably would have been a cap casualty next season anyway.

We got 2 picks and a body at a position of need.

Look, I appreciated and thought he was fantastic for us for many years but this is the beginning of the Watson era now

Duane Brown feels like the owner is full of it and is one way in front of the team and a different way around the owners due to past sitiations. This latest situation is just one thing. Now your attitude toward it is one of stupidity and lack of truly seeing it from another point of view which i totally don't expect you to. Not because your incapable of it more because you choose not to. You'd rather name call and undersetimate the intelligence of smart people which is extremely dangerous.

    0,
The "Watson Era" will be short as hell if the Texans don't get serious about protecting him upfront.

He's mad about his contract number one and number two he personally doesnt care for Bob McNair for obvious reasons. Number 2 would be a private matter if number 1 Bob keeps his mouth close and number 2 if the contract situation was resolved to Duane's satisfication.

This city and it's fans would flip if JJ Watt was traded. I doubt it happens. I hope JJ recovers and comes back a great player. I doubt he gets back to being the best defensive end ever.

Lin fans have nothing to do with anything. Totally irrelevant. There has been no shortcomings within the fact that i said Watson should be the starter week one over Savage and you disagreed and questioned Watson's brain and accurancy.

I liked that we got a 2nd round pick, only wish it was upcoming draft.
We need to get Watson all the help we can.. not sure why we didn't get Graham back on this deal. this would have only helped in his development. Our TE are basically non existent most of the time.
I really wish there was some way we could get Vontae davis from the colts, although i doubt they would trade him to us.
I think Watson gives us a chance to do something if we make the playoffs, but i dont see the Texans being aggressive enough to help him out

What could go wrong with a rookie franchise quarterback and two marginal OTs?

This also looks like a play from a GM who is not expecting his team to make the playoffs. If I were OBie, I would be flat out PO and seriously consider moving on n the offseason.

Good luck Duane. Nice using the Texan as an audition tape on Sunday. These Texans are to dumb to notice.

He probably wanted to go anyway. I wouldn't doubt if someone who wanted Duane in Seattle encouraged Duane to put more fuel on the fire of the spark started by McNair's comments, so the Texans would have another reason to let him go. He didn't do anything for the Texan's this year but cause a lot of frustration and discontent.

Or, here's a conpiracy theory for you. Maybe some coach who didn't like the fact that the Texans traded up and got Watson found an opportunity to piss a lot of players off and cause some controversy in Houston. You know, sitting behind closed doors in an owner's meeting, hearing McNair use that old metaphor, and knowing if he leaked it out people would take it literally, or make it a race issue. It worked.

Tread lightly these days, watch what you say in meetings behind closed doors, and don't get loose lips in your man cave when the the women are away. Your friends may just be your enemies, your coworkers may just stab you in the back, and your choice of words just may be taken the wrong way or thrown out for the wolves to devour.
