I didn't advocate ignoring anything. Both the positives and negatives are real and happening. But since we were talking about politics, then it is fair to say that the Democrats have done a poor job of accentuating the positives and their accomplishments while also failing to frame the negatives of their opponents in a unified and concentrated way. The messaging from Democrats sucks now and has for a long time. That's bad enough. What's worse is that they fail to learn from their mistakes.

You seem fixated on the approvals... bet you would be surprised that Reagans approvals were as low as the mid 40's (June 1982, Gallup polling) and dipped as low as 35%. Truman's were as low as 32%. Yet both of those presidents were two term presidents and were ultimately popular presidents.
