the killer was griffin, that was the absolute worst mistake cd made. rox have been behind the 8 ball for a long time after that one.

i remember 2000 not being such an interesting draft. if pryzbilla was the best rox could get at 9, not really saying much about that draft class.

but also, ouch for lewis, OUCH

    1. Gotta draft a big strong power forward.

    2. Sign a point guard who's better then Rafer.

    3. Watch the Rockets be much better

we should trade steve novak for a 2nd and then pick demetrius nichols from syracuse. nichols is a 6'7 SF sharp shooter who can play some defense

we could possibly get a second 1st rounder in utah's pick.

with their situation, i believe 13 under contract, they could do without another late first rounder.

if the rockets have two first rounders, they may be able to swing something good. either two young players, or trade up...

Bibby is not as good as used to be. I suppose many people still live in 2002 and think Bibby is as good.

No, he is not as good and he costs lots of money.

how many times do players like that fall under the radar and slip that late in the draft?

most late first round picks don't end up to be much. if a team holding a late first round pick (usually one of the best teams in the league) is lucky enough to land a steal, then they become great like the spurs and suns. however, the chances of that happening are slim to none.

i see your point and i will repeat myself when i say it's a very good strategy if you have time for those players to develop. we don't.

id say sure, as long as it involves either the celtics, or some other perrenial cellar-dweller.
(personally- im heavily rooting for the hawks this year to do well so that they get a late first rounder, instead of the most assured early first rounder that theyll turn over to the suns for the stupid trade- GO HAWKS!! haha)

and wouldnt u LOVE to be the blazers this year? #1 overall AND 4 picks in the second round?!? if they dont pwn within the next 5 years... theyll have screwed up royally in this draft.
