So if Morey doesn't trade for a PF upgrade, will Andersen be starting at PF alongside Yao next season, and will Scola come off the bench?

I'd kind of like to see that, just out of curiosity.

It must have been written by Andersen's brother. lol

IMO, Andersen pairing with Yao could have been a feasible duo IF Yao was healthy circa 2004-2005. With a number of season-ending injuries and coming back from a very serious surgery, I posit that we need a PF in the mold of Ois Thorpe versus a David Andersen. I don't think we want to see Yao doing all the hardwork and risk injury along a go-happy shooting PF like Andersen.

Not interesting analysis but it's the true story. Good find. D, rebound and physial skills are killing Andersen. Very true. He got trouble in fighting position. Often lost balance then got pushing out from basket.

He has a nice mid range jumper which maybe effective occasionally. But surely he got a lot to improve if he wants to stay long in NBA.

Is it me or do opposing team's players like to try to start crap with Andersen? It seems like he gets into more minor scuffles than any other Rocket player this season. I can't tell if it's because opponents think he's soft and so deliberately confront him, or if he does things to hassle them first, or it's something else entirely.

Regardless, the Big Down Under don't take no sh**..

DA is what he is on defense, but I think he could get much better on offense, it looks like he is still rushing things and the game hasn't slowed down for him. I see him used in specific offensive matchups ala a reverse chuck hayes where he could present a solid mismatch.

this is the 2nd time he has started a fight, lol! Who knew he would lead the team in instigating fights? LOL. I wish he'd kicked Kidd's ass! Wright seemed like he woulda murdered David though.

    It's the Shawn Bradley Syndrome.

David Andersen only wishes he's generally known as the Big Down Under.

Great. He'll be perfect against the Mavs the next time we play them in the playoffs. I think he will be ok as long he works hard out there.

He needs to hustle his behind off to have a chance to stick in the NBA.

    Give the guy sometime....

It takes Euro players a couple of years to adjust to the NBA style of play...

You have to give guys time to adjust....

I always thought he reminded me more of Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

Am I the only person that thinks Andersen isn't terrible at D? I see him making some really nice rotations. Although his footwork is a bit awkward, his lateral movement is actually pretty good for a big man. A lot of times he seems to be at the right spot where he needs to be.

His only downside is lack of strength and shot blocking ability. Granted, those are 2 important components, but imo its overrated.

He is overpowered by 90% of his opponents, so he is constantly bracing himself for physicality, that and he is soft.

I think he does ok. He's not Yao, Deke or Dwight Howard.

I think the main problem on here is that fans expected him to be something he isn't. I think he is exactly what the Rockets expected him to be.

He plays 14 minutes a game. He isn't gonna get 20-10-5-5. People should realize that and move on.
