i don't think that yao want's t-mac off the team. I don't buy it. I do see the possibility that yao is tired of working his ass off while t-mac slacks off, but i still don't see tracy as a slacker unlike so many. since t-mac has been here i've seen countless times where he yells at yao on the court about something, but since they've had such a good relationship i've thought nothing of it. yao may have put up with it because tracy was so good, but if he sees slacking from him he may be less inclined to take criticism from him.
This is like asking a Delta Force Member what he did on an assignment.... There are just some questions you just don't ask....
You call that being a leader, Mr. Mcgrady doesn't have the least clue about being a leader. A leader does not only take the glory, he/she has to take responsibility too. In the 12 year of Mr.Mcgrady (aka. MeMac) NBA career, I have seen countless interviews where Mcgrady pretend to be a leader by saying stuff like I imposed my will, I elevate my game when needed. Not once he blames himself for the shortcoming of the team and himself. He is as anti-leader as there is. From now on, T-mac should be used as an antonym of the word leader. A leader motivate and empower his followers to accomplish a common goal. "Leaders" like Mcgrady likes to take credit for glory, but they fear responsibility as a deadly virus. Mrgrady, stop pretending to be a leader and come back as a good follower.
DD - I really believe he's jumped the shark. I don't think there's any going back. I think they can play together but wow. If Battier wasn't aiming for a political career and had a little less formality to his speech, he'd be on TMAC's A$$ in the press. As for my Rockets affiliation, I'd say it's more like being in Shadow Management...
If he has jumped the shark, and it is kind of how I feel too, would the team trade him to get out of his contract for next year? Clearly they won't sign him to an extension the way he is dogging it, not doing rehab, ignoring doctors and coasting....that is an afront to the colors and to the rest of his teamates. So, could he be traded just to get him run...and we go on with Artest/Wafer? DD
Sorry MD...it is just not something anyone should ask...clearly he could not answer even if you wanted him too. Enjoy the mystery. DD
Then how the hell do we even know if any of what he's saying is actually true? If I changed a screen name, and started posting "insider" info without any proof, you guys would believe me? I mean, I don't doubt that he is, but since most people in here accept what he says to be genuine, I was wondering how exactly people came to that conclusion if he never confirmed anything.
Hey Doc, You know the rule... When someone ask you about a mission your answer is always "What mission"...
Interesting. Shane always struck me as a stand up guy and a real professional. Slacking and unprofessional conduct probably rubs him the wrong way.
regardless, at least it look's like Yao took Tracy's advice. he had like 5 dunks in that game
Ok, so he says "he is coMING 2002" and a deal to the "East and in the North"
So...
Caron Butler! drafted 2002.. plays in the eastern conference Washington is up north.
Bingo! Am I right??
I know they've talked about it but I don't think they'll move him. If something comes up where you could get a few young, up and comers from a team that wants to be a player in 2010, then maybe. But I'd bet even THAT wouldn't happen until next year. If I were Houston, I'd say forget 2010 and try to get some young core guys, athletes - I'd look to Portland or some team like that and take a few of their guys. You know what? Actually, I don't know what the hell I would do really! The odds of Tmac being traded this year - 15/85? Next year? 50/50...IMO
You must have missed them but there were a couple of threads here where somebody asked the exact same question. I joined a couple of years ago myself, but apparently Doc Rocket has a track record of providing good information. Look at the join dates for all the guys who think he's legit--they're all old timers who have been around for a while.
Let me help you out.... Doc has been on this board as long as me and he has history along with some other old timers... Oly-P He's the original Riddler and I would have to say he has a HELLUVA rating of over 99%... Now (no disrespect to you)... You have no history and been around for a short period of time... Now if you say "I could have changed my user name"... Well you could have... But if you have been around for a while you wouldn't be asking this question anyway...
Artest is an unrestricted FA the next year, I doubt he resigns with a team that is trading off talent. All things equal, I think he signs with the Lakers, which just makes this predicament even sadder. The Rockets need to get it together fast.
durvasa - i don't feel like digging through the thread to find where you said this, but you mentioned interpreting yao's dunks as wanting to send a message tonite, and that's exactly how i perceived them as well.
Believe it or not, in the real world (yes, that also include the NBA) a leader has to lead by example as well as motive and empower his/her employees. Mcgrady lost the leadership privilege when he decided to dog their teammates (both formal and current) constantly, dog his own rehab, playing on the court with piss poor effort.
What Tmac was complaining was Yao "took too many shots (supposed to be his) and too soft". People do have short memory.
