Maybe T-mac getting on Yao to dunk, be a man, etc. was just his attempt to motivate him, and be a leader. No offense Doc, I don't doubt you are an insider, but you seem to kinda be biased in Yao's favor, as if you are a friend of Yaos. Maybe your Colin Pine? I take what you say with a grain of salt, because I am not sure your view is objective.
Yeah, carried his ass to first round losses. Let's not start acting like McGrady is some Messiah. I'd hate to believe it if this is true, but if it is, Tracy may have just punched his ticket out of Houston.
The way I see it, it's an internal war involving McGrady and the organization. Here's how I see it from fan's point of view: McGrady wants an extension past 2010, but the front office has other plans for that year. So, McGrady figures he doesn't have to commit if the Rockets won't commit to him. The winner of this war is who will give in first. Can the Rockets withstand a noncomitted McGrady for 2 more years and go for a big time free agent in 2010, or will they trade him before then?
If you haven't yet grasped the meaning of the idiom 'of all people' then I apologize for my rude tone throughout this thread as English clearly is not your first language.
Actually, I kind of agree with the first part. What Tmac supposedly said doesn't sound offensive at all. It's what most of us tell ourselves we would say to Yao.
You guys should listen to DocRocket. He has always been a credible insider of the Rockets organization. TMac's days in Houston are numbered.
Yeah, but he's got a solid reputation doesn't he? I don't remember him being the type of reporter to just stir things up.
I don't actually give a ***** about that, but if what Doc says is true and TMac has been dogging rehab sessions, then I'm sorry for ever having stuck up for him on this forum, because I was totally wrong.
Are you kidding me? Seriously. I can't tell if you're trying to be a bigger ******* here. "Of all people" clearly means that Yao has less right than other people to want Tmac traded.
I think you're right actually...and I am pretty biased in favor of Yao. And TMac's not a bad person but he's a petty little gameplayer, ya know? He plays these little games like he's living in his own little play world (Which when you're making $21 mill - I guess you actually are! He's not being an ARSE (As DD said he just is always pickin' and messin' and saying to do things that he won't do. This is not an injury with him - this is a charade. I'm telling you...this is a game and it's about some weird stuff that I haven't found out about yet. Even when I do, I can't say it on here not to where the language could crucify someone, ya know? Someone said I was 50/50? Probably more like 25/75...more than half never pans out. I just put on here what I hear and what I'm told but this stuff in the locker room is coming at me from everywhere and it's still worse than what's being said. Hard to believe, I know. But yeah, I am biased toward Yao but I ain't the translator.
Yeah, of course. But, that's an entirely different issue. If Yao's angry about what Tmac said, then I don't think he should be. If Yao's angry that Tmac is being a hypocrite and hurting the team with his laziness, then he has all the right in the world to be.
My feelings exactly. I believe there is a lot of truth to what Doc says, but he is so personally anti-McGrady that every time he posts it comes off like he has some kind of personal vendetta, like McGrady kicked his puppy or something. My objective read of that post tells me that McGrady was in fact trying to tell Yao to be more assertive, dunk more, be MVP-like etc. like he has probably done for the past 4 years. The problem was that McGrady's own issues loomed large, and they probably had an argument or two as a result. I fail to see how that equates to an all out locker room civil war as Doc seems to insinuate.
the way they handled jvg. the way they shipped out franchis without ever giving him a chance after he came here because he loves houston. and now, the way theyre handling the tmac situation.
Doc, What I want to know is if the rest of the players respect him, or has he jumped the shark? Like he would or even SHOULD tell you...get a grip, just be happy we have someone on here who is an insider...SHEESH ! DD
correct me if im wrong, but isn't that being a leader (verbally)? he should point out yao's flaws and help him get better...he obviously wants yao to be an mvp if he's telling yao what he needs to do to be one. And yao should do the same to tmac if he sees flaws in tracy's game... now if he's being demeaning about it, thats a different story
LOL. Are you really turning this into a semantics debate over your interpretation of what I said? Scratch that. Your interpretation of your own paraphrase of what I said...? Seriously?
