If they are getting rid of McGrady (and his salary), should be plenty of money left to sign Artest. Should also be plenty of need for his skills.

I mean, what will he cost? $10, 11 million per year?

I highly doubt the Rockets will have a bidding war on their hands that go much higher. Not that many teams have the cap space in order to offer more than the MLE. Those that do are likely crappy and not looking to bring in a vet. Others may be wary about eating into 2010 cap room (not as much of an issue for Rockets, being on the hook in 2010 for likely only Battier and Landry if Yao takes his ETO). And that's not even talking about Ron's age, injury status, and "head case" reputation.

The new 3-man rotation on the wing = Artest, Battier, Wafer?

    Hey Doc,

Help me out here, i've had to look over this whole entire mystery and I have some thoughts about this entire scenario....

So I will start my rumblings from last year and move forward....

    1) I feel that a lot of these problems started from last year when Yao went down with the injury and T-Mac had to carry the team by himself. For some reason I can see T-Mac getting pissed because he felt as if he had no help and was knocked out of the first round again.

    2) Looking at the entire deal I can see T-Mac going to Morey asking him to get some help, so that he doesn't have to go thru what he went thru the last year. So Morey works out a deal to get Artest...

    3) T-Mac goes thru shoulder and knee surgery (Here comes the DD segment) and for some reason he believes that this will be a piece of cake. A minor surgery and he should be back on his feet in no time.

The problem is... he didn't rehab like he should have (strenghten the small muscles) and he eat the proper nutrition to help keep his weight down while he was inactive.

    4) Now T-Mac tries to come back and he realizes he doesn't have the Strength or Stamina to be on the court. So now frustration kicks in, not only with him but also with management and the team.

    5) So now T-Mac takes off and tries to rehab the incorrect way by lifting heavy weights and actually damaging the knee more and now he's feeling more heat from management, players and the fans.

    6) Now you have Yao who pissed because he feels that they have the right pieces and he knows that he needs T-Mac more than anyone else on the team (for all that say that Yao doesn't T-Mac, remember this although Pippen never won a championship without Jordan, Jordan never won a championship without Pippen) . But T-Mac is already pissed from last year and some other crap, plus he's also frustrated he starts to take it out on other individuals because of the pressure.

    7) So now management decides that hey we need to do something... So they basically tell T-Mac he needs to rehab the CORRECT way this time and come back with a better attitude.

Now my question to you... has more to do with Management - specifically coaching...

    1) Why has Aldeman sit back like he has?
    2) Is Aldeman trying to make this a Batman vs. Superman kind of thing?

It just seems to me that a lot of this could have been avoided earlier.. So help me out those riddles that you do.

No, I guess you weren't trying to be a doubting a-hole. It just came naturally. Do you see your contradiction?

I think you misunderstand me....I would keep Tmac, and trade Artest.

I think that Tmac, Artest, Battier, Barry and now Wafer are too many talented wings....you can get rid of one and pick up a quality PG like Hinrich or Miller.....

So, since Artest is expiring, I think his contract is the EASIEST to move....but I would consider a deal for any of Artets, Battier and/or Tmac....but I believe Artest and Tmac are both ball stoppers so it should be one of them, and since Tmac has no trade value....to me...it is Artest.

Are you an idiot? Do you not see in that second post, where I said "I mean, I don't doubt that he is..."
The entire purpose was to find out exactly how people came to accept that he was an insider if he never said so. Other people were kind enough to explain that he's provided valuable information in the past, whereas you decided to be a d**che or a b****, whichever gender you are.

Sam Mack NEVER looked this good, he could hit 3s...but he NEVER was all that athletic and able to just blow by people like Kobe like they were standing in cement.

Wafer was a McDonald's All American that just left college too early.....but to me he looks like the real deal, a guy who finally has found his confidence and doesn't think he belongs...HE KNOWS IT !

I dont recall Tracy saying it was Yao's fault we lost. If he did, that would be pointing fingers. If he was getting on him to be more aggresive, that would be him being a leader or atleast trying.

I think Doc Rocket has to be Daryl Morey.

Morey is smart enough to use a fan forum to manipulate the team for its betterment.

Except Doc Rocket joined way back in 2000, long before Morey or Yao.

Unless Morey's killed the real Doc Rocket and is posting in his place.

dang, I don't know why I am still thinking of McGrady getting his act together with Yao and Artest to have the rockets competing for a championship.

can only reset expectations, but its not the end of the world. We have some good young talent on this team and tonights game was a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to more games like this; more often than not, I believe they will end up with a W.

Another big night of Rockets drama! A heart breaking loss in the final minute, the David Aldridge report (as reputable as it gets on the NBA beat), and another Doc Rocket bombshell (as insider as it gets on the ClutchFans beat?).

Just when I've convinced myself this is much ado about nothing, they pull me back in...
