As far as I'm concerned, this contradicts what you said earlier. If we are getting closer and closer to some "everyone will know everything thanks to technology" future (a ludicrous concept that feels like it was ripped straight out of a Thomas Friedman column), then why do you believe that vision and ideals are so much important than results? We won't need ideology to determine that Mitt Romney's actions are bad - "consensus" and the bad things Romney does should serve in and of themselves without ideology. At the end of the day, results are what matter - from the perspective of American politics, much of the outrage about Obama's socialism is simply due to the fact that the economy sucks. No more, no less. Contrary to what Descartes says, ideologies inevitably mold themselves to fit realities, just like what occurred in Marxism in the late 19th century. Maybe democratic socialism will be the future. I think that the very concept of an "end of history" is utterly and totally ludicrous, though I think fascism will slowly start to be more accepted than it is today. It ignores culture, geopolitics, geography, and so on and so forth in the name of a technological fetish.
"I would select a coach who I thought would be the best leader of the team. His XO coaching philosophy would be important to the selection but not the most important selection criteria." So not true. If said head coach does not want to play talented players like big lips and hasheem the dream, Maury would delete said head coach from his twitter friends. It wouldn't matter what a great leader the fuhrer was, even in his last days inside the rockets bunker.
Maybe this will give you an idea: He was spotted by a fan at Firehouse Subs. Still not impressed? He eats there 9 times a day.
You realize all the European countries that have had democratic solcialism are now going completely broke and cutting back on thee programs, right? Incidentally, at $16 trillion in the hole right now, we have a hell of a head start on following suit.
Good point... This country needs successful people, and I do believe there is a certain amount of resentment ... The question is how much of it is the belief the rich don't pay their fair share and how much of it is scape goating.
