You should choose the Presidential candidate whose vision of the future you believe to be greater good. In this case it's corporate oligarchy with increasing wealth inequity and a more restrictive, exclusionary society based on religious beliefs vs. a more inclusive society that works cooperatively.

I don't think there is much question that democratic socialism is the future for civilized men. Being truly democratic against the natural tendencies of self-interest and tribalism is the issue. It's the definition of the United States since the organization of the rebellion against autocracy through the establishment of Social Security, Medicare and the progressive income tax.
You play Godwin. I play the Tea Party. A bunch of radical ideologues who are more concerned about their focus and direction than getting things done.
