"I believe people focus too much on policy when making political decisions and not enough on selecting the best leader for the country,"

So vote Hitler, that dude gets things done. It might be fascism and genocide but at least it's not grid lock.

The main point and purpose of the the Presidency is the bully pulpit of focus and direction. You should choose the Presidential candidate whose vision of the future you believe to be greater good. In this case it's corporate oligarchy with increasing wealth inequity and a more restrictive, exclusionary society based on religious beliefs vs. a more inclusive society that works cooperatively.

Maybe we should vote for who would be the best GM for the Rockets and not focus on moneyball policies.

Adults will disagree sometimes and that's OK.

Should the best leader have a vision of his own or just flow to whatever position serves his election?

Article is obvious fabrication. I learn all of my politics from clutchfans and only the super rich or super dumb and uneducated support Romney.

Me thinks this is just a smokescreen for why he's really voting for Romney:
Daryl Morey is in the tax bracket that would have their taxes drastically reduced in the event that Romney wins.

I don't think there is much question that democratic socialism is the future for civilized men. Being truly democratic against the natural tendencies of self-interest and tribalism is the issue. It's the definition of the United States since the organization of the rebellion against autocracy through the establishment of Social Security, Medicare and the progressive income tax.

You play Godwin. I play the Tea Party. A bunch of radical ideologues who are more concerned about their focus and direction than getting things done.

It's this obsession with ideals and direction that's become more and more the problem. Because when you're so convinced that your ideology will lead to that bright new future, you're far less inclined to compromise or negotiate with other thinkers who threaten your future.

Define that. Do you think democratic socialism, someday, will perhaps be the standard form of government? Is the world basically going to become like Europe?

Was he not born middle class or are we just whole hog resenting successful people now?

He may have been born blond too, who cares? We are talking about what he is right now. I love that you exaggerate that Vlau resent all successful people for stating the fact that Daryl Morey is not middle class. Come on son.

Cleverly disguised I don't love Kevin McHale's pick&roll coverage comment.

If we are lucky enough to survive.

Information is the key; both download and upload. Individuals are empowered and so are popular movements. Truth is peer reviewed. The Koch/Rove/Fox deception is a last ditch effort to control popular opinion in this country; internet censorship is in China. The exploited always have the numbers and moral high ground though. It just a matter of time before the greater good becomes the consensus.
