No cheating here. Regular season is 82 games long and if every game would have playoff rules, TV ratings would plummet two months into season. If a team is constructed to dominate regular season, it will suffer in playoffs (Rockets, Bucks, DeRozan Raptors, George Karl's Nuggets etc.)
Just make a regular season championship a thing. Add a smaller trophy to the mix. Larry O'Brien's would still go to the World Champs It is not that hard to do.

Is there actually any evidence that Harden wants to reunite with Morey? Also, honest question, can you point me to when Morey came out in support of Trump? I tried googling around, but couldn't find much outside of the context of the China tweet debacle.
Your post reads slightly strangely to me, so just to be sure, you mean that they are inversely correlated, correct?
Why wouldn’t he want to reunite? Morey kissed Hardens ass publicly for years. It was almost embarrassing how much Morey spoke favorably and defended Harden. When asked, it’s obviously expected. But I don’t recall other GMs ever being so outspoken with the media on behalf of their star player. And no way Morey ever said he supported Trump. Possible he said supported some particular policy position, perhaps relating to China, but even that I doubt. Morey would never publicly admit to such a thing, even if true.
It doesn't sound like you have any real evidence. Prominent members of an organization kissing their superstar player's ass is neither unprecedented nor [at all] rare. And it's definitely not enough to convince said superstar where he wants to play... I've heard about Harden wanting to play for Brooklyn, but I've heard nothing but unsubstantiated speculation about Morey wanting Harden to play for Philly.
I was just saying why WOULDNT he want to play for him because (and it appears you disagree) Morey was all up on Harden’s d. No other GM, that I call, ever went after the media for “slandering” or was so adamant about a player “actually” winning an award. I don’t think that’s normal for GMs.
I would agree there may not be good reason that he WOULDN'T be down to play with Morey, but that's quite a different thing than him actively pursuing playing with Morey. I don't believe there is much reason for the latter, even if he liked Morey. I'm sure money, wins, location, and teammates are bigger factors.
Morey is still the greatest troll on the internet. level 1 dmorey 663 points·1 month ago I doubt anyone on the 76ers could give me a game - I was lucky enough in Houston to play the real Jimmy Butler (4 time USA champion) all the time.
I keep waiting for the supposedly flawed Philly roster to do badly. But they are 7-1. Something going right up there.
