Let's just watch and see how this goes. First Move: The Sixers are trading Al Horford and a first-round and second-round pick to the Thunder for Danny Green, sources tell ESPN. The 76ers sent a 2025 first round pick to the Thunder and the No. 34 overall pick in this year’s draft. Good or Bad? Looks good. Trimmed payroll and got a nice asset. Rocket River
This seems like a good place to point that out the story about Harden wanting out of Houston because of Tilman's support of Trump is absolute bullshit. Morey himself has stated in the past he supports Trump, yet Harden can't wait to reunite with him in Philly.
Whether or not Morey is a Republican, he wasn't actively involved in presidential politics. Fertitta is more overt about being pro-Trump. It's unlikely to be the only thing, but the chances of Harden being a Trump supporter are very low, and the chances he doesn't care about politics are also low.
Doesn't mean he voted for Joe, he also congratulated the warriors every year they beat the rockets in the playoffs
Daryl (previously a more "small government"/free market con, if I remember correctly) has spent the last year being pretty outspoken against Trump and pro BLM like 90% of NBA coaches & players (and 42.5% of owners). Not really surprising, education level is one of the single biggest correlations with MAGA-friendliness.
With Morey as president of operations, I'm guessing Elton brand has about as much say in roster decisions as rafael stone has in the rockets spending limits.
Don’t like the Danny Green move. I don’t think it’s a pure salary shedding move. Gave up a lot. But Morey will do that. Just saw the Seth Curry for Josh Richardson and another pick. Don’t like that either. A couple of weird moves IMO.
Daryl doing way better as the Philly GM than he was at Rockets GM in acquiring shooters around Simmons and Embiid.
