There's still a small chance that A&M gets within 1 ranking of Oklahoma, if it happens, A&M represents the big 12 south. That would be kind of epic.. a rematch of that game. Oklahoma and Nebraska will be awesome to watch also.
Yeah small chance. Not likely though. OU is what, 13th-14th right now? They'll move up a few spots, and then A&M would have to go from 17th-18th I believe what they are right now to likely top 10-12. I dont see that happening but ehh, guess we'll see. Edit: Here are current BCS standings. W 1 Oregon .9764 W 2 Auburn .9682 W 3 TCU .8995 L 4 Boise State .8860 L 5 LSU .8193 W 6 Stanford .7763 W 7 Wisconsin .7688 W 8 Ohio State .7148 L 9 Oklahoma State .6815 W 10 Michigan State .6063 L 11 Alabama .6019 W 12 Arkansas .5697 W 13 Oklahoma .5041 W 14 Missouri .4564 W 15 Nebraska .4423 W 16 Virginia Tech .4213 W 17 Texas A&M .3607 W 18 South Carolina .3583 W 19 Nevada .2943 W 20 Utah .1961 L 21 Arizona .1848 W 22 Florida State .1296 L 23 North Carolina State .0923 L 24 Iowa .0899 W 25 Mississippi State .0862 Yeah, I think it's safe to assume A&M wont be passing OU. Anyhow, my new top 5 would be something like 1 Oregon 2 Auburn 3 TCU 4 Wisconsin 5 Stanford or 1 Oregon 2 Auburn 3 Wisconsin 4 TCU 5 Stanford
Very excited that my Ags have a share of the division champion, even though they probably won't go to the conference final. It was awesome to see how much the defense has improved, bringing back flashbacks of the Wrecking Crew, especially the Nebraska game. Being at the game was awesome and the atmosphere was crazy. This season will no doubt benefit our recruiting in the future years, and let's hope this team can keep it up. Extremely high expectations for next year since we're only losing 5 senior starters. Gig'Em Ags!
Tennesse IS called UT. OKST is NOT Oklahoma. OSU IS Oklahoma State and Oregon State and Ohio State. and people use SC to refer to Southern Cal all the time.
Anybody hear about the fallacy in how the big 12 wrote the tiebreaker. I guess its written that if 2 of the teams are within one spot of each other in the BCS then the winner is the winner of the game between the top 2 teams. i.e. Ou 10, A&M 15, OSU 16 means A&M goes. Guess this was discussed on ABC. Even though it is written that way I doubt the Big XII wpuld let that happen ... Would be pretty funny though
Stanford would smack the snot out of Wisconsin. I exaggerate slightly. LSU losing will help Stanford in the in the polls so it's doubtful Wisconsin will pass them in the BCS rankings. I would rank them: 1 Oregon 2 Auburn 3 Stanford 4 TCU 5 Wisconsin
It's OK if you object. I've watched several Stanford games and not much of TCU. IMO, Stanford may be the 2nd best team behind Oregon. They are a physical team. As posted elsewhere, I believe one key play was the turning point in their earlier game. If there was a rematch, I would favor Oregon but not by much. No disrespect meant to TCU.
Probably the most balanced team. Very physical. Oregon is no doubt #1 but I would definitely put Stanford at 2 or 3. Stanford vs TCU would be the most physical game of the year, seeing how each team both likes to pound the ball.
Unfortunately, because of the Big East, it looks like Stanford is likely to get screwed. I think these are the current projections: National Title: Oregon vs. Auburn (great game) Rose: TCU vs. Wisconsin (great game) Orange: Stanford vs. UConn (bleh; really sucks for Stanford) Fiesta: OU/Neb vs. VaTech/FlaSt (good, but not very exciting - possible rematch of a blowout if its OU/FlaSt) Sugar: Arkansas vs. Ohio State (great game) I'd much rather they stick UConn and VaTech out in the Orange Bowl and make it East Coast Bowl of conferences that no one cares about or thinks deserves BCS bids. Stanford would travel well to the Fiesta and both would be better matchups.
On a side note, if Auburn were to lose, then you have Oregon vs TCU and Stanford vs Wisconsin, which would be the perfect 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 in a playoff system in many people's minds.
