There is little doubt that all these new board members supporting him have come from somewhere (skillzlab cough cough), or his own PR firm/posse worried that the gravy train will dry up........

But remember, Tmac doesn't do PR.

    ROFLMAO !!!!

Anyone smell a Jermaine O'neal for McGrady trade coming tomorrow?

Duh! Isn't it obvious? The socks are placed on his feet after applying moisturizer to keep them soft and supple. Anyway, I sure that's what that magazine article is pointing out. :)

That's lame, man. Everyone's got to have a first post and if it happens to be about t-mac, so be it. The fact that that's the best reply you got? Speaks for itself.

Anyway, I actually just wanted to share that video I found but since we can't start new threads when you're a new member, I had to tack it on here. Then I figured I might as well defend our player against haters.

You know what else speaks for itself. The few people who just ADMITTED that it's all about whether a player wins or not and not really about them. That's lame, too, because actually winning has to do with an entire team and luck, and other teams in the league and injuries and the temperature in the arena and the schedule etc. etc. etc.

So pinning it on one dude is wrong. Even if he pinned it on himself because he wanted to motivate himself to deliver to the city of Houston.

Superstars are expected to win, or at least get out of the first round.

The fact that you replied to ME instead of the guy who brought it up speaks volumes.

I don't mind you having a first post, followed by a 2nd and 3rd in order.....lord knows I can appreciate a prodigious beginning.

And it was not directed AT YOU per se, there are lots of people signing up to defend the Mac......no worries, it is all good.

It is also....very suspicious !!!! Anything after January '09 when he announced his MF surgery is in question....ANYTHING !

well, i went back to page 9 and counted all the people that sympathized with tmac, not including repeat posts by the same user, and came up with

8 out of the 10 tmac sympathizers have been on clutchfans for at least 11 months.

6 out of those 10 have been on the board for considerably longer.

so........... tmac sympathizers arent "making new accounts." at least that's what im seeing.

You're on a Rockets fan discussion forum. We discuss the Rockets here. Don't give me your cop out, BS "why is this so personal to you?" excuse on this forum.

Oh great, even Clutch is a T-Mac hater now. Just let the man play and if he still doesn't give any effort then trade him. Problem solved.

So never take his word when it's unflattering - but always take his word when he says something like "I'm ready to come back and play."

    I get it.

So wait a minute... let's just say that T-Mac in the Toronto game was a tad bit injured, which clearly he was.

So you haters approve of the organization playing McGrady when he's HURT, but not when he's HEALTHY?? This is something that's boggled my mind during the entire McGrady saga this season. Play him. He's healthy. End of story.

Judging by my amazing amount of posts you can tell I enjoy sitting back and letting everyone else "talk" things out, however this is different. The Rockets overall character is the never give up and play all 48 minutes more than every other NBA team.

In my humble opinion Tracy is not always willing/able to do that. It doesn't matter why. What does matter is that we have a team that fights and we need guys on the team who are willing to leave it all on the court. A basketball players career is not judged by one 13 in 36 or dunk over the tallest cracker in the NBA. One's career is judged by the little things like hustle plays, setting picks, not picking up silly fouls, taking charges, and putting your teammates in a position to score easily, knowing angles, boxing out, etc. In basketball the little things make a career. Tracy has never shown on a play by play basis over his career that he is that type of player. He is a great scorer, and he makes it look flat out easy. He is a great player but he is not a great Rocket.

The Tmac can't get out the 1st round argument is r****ded...not even Kobe can get out the first round without a solid supporting cast...another part of the hate has to due with unreasonably high expectations...ever since Tmac got here he was expect to win Houston a championship...even when he was healthy and playing we'll he was a disappointment to the haters...the team around Tmac & Yao at the time was just plain awful...Juwan Howard, Ryan Bowen, David Wesley...Jon Barry and Sura was ok but they're not gonna win you a championship...Rockets supporting cast was too old & too unathletic..plus JVG offense didn't help either.....it's true..don't deny this...

They're trying not to repeat what happened last season. That's acceptable and I can understand that.

Players often feel they're ready before they actually are. It's part of the competitiveness. If players always knew what was best for them and for the team we wouldn't need coaches at all.

At the end of the day:
    1. we're not even half way through the season.
    2. The rockets are competing for a playoff spot with or without McGrady right now.
    3. There's no rush!!!!
    4. Would we rather have a repeat of last season, or have him sit 10 games more than was actually necessary to be safe?
    5. There's no rush!!!!

As long as the rockets don't do something real dirty like not letting him play at all, I don't think anyone should have a problem. And from the way GM and coaches have been talking I don't think there's any doubt he is going to play a significant portion of the season and he's going to be expected to play every single game when he comes back.

    Don't forget that Kobe is:
    1. durable
    2. championship proven

    two things that tmac lacks.

In fact there is only two types of Rockets fans:

    -Tracy Lovers or Tracy haters.

    Judgement day draws near.

The claws are out, the air is thick...
It time to close this era.

How can you trade him if he doesn't give effort? No team would want to have him, and his albatross contract makes it difficult to get anything good in return.

    He also:

    1. Plays hurt
    2. Stays in shape during summers and adds to his game
    3. Plays defense
    4. Keeps his mouth shut and doesn't predict victories

There is a reason why Yao gets so much love here while McGrady does not when both guys have achieved basically the same level of success in the league. Yao is a hard-working competitor who plays hurt and says all the right things off the court. Fans respect those things even if a guy hasn't had much playoff success. Effort and heart do count for something.
