Refs will be a deciding factor for this game..If they give Yao calls.. then we win...otherwise we might lose.

Will determine who is the best "also ran" from last year who is going to make waves in the playoffs. Not the end of the world if the Rockets lose, but a big boost if they win. I agree that Spoon may be a major factor. Rockets in a very close OT game.

    Is MOT hurt?

Some sources said that MOT may missed some remaining games

This is a game where Ming should really dominate.while the grizz are fairly atheletic up front, they dont have anyone to counter Mings size and skills down in the low post. Houston 98 to Grizz 87

The Grizz Represents a Very Real Challenge

Grizz have been playing well of late. I really hope the Rox stick to their gameplan and play tough D for 48 minutes. The Grizz has shear youth and atheleticism on their side. That's why it's going to take a mentally tough Rock squad to enforce JVG style of play throughout the game. If we get caught up in a helter-skelter college like game with high turnovers, odds are, we will lose. In every instance where we've lost to a lesser team on paper, we've played "down" to their level. The Rox have a style all their own and we can't get suckered into playing another team's style of play. If the Rox prevail (and I think they should), a win over the Grizz would be a big one on the record books. We go to a five game win streak and inch closer to a 40+ win season.

    :D

Yao really should protect himself from foul trouble. Of course, it also depends on who are refereeing this game.

PF matchup problem against Pau Gasao (sp?). Can Cato do it? He is bit of slow. Mo? I'm not sure. Maybe we should try Boki.

Cat should better keep up his hot shooting. If not, don't jack up too many prayers.

Game tempo is the key to this game. Can SF3's play making get up another notch to meet the Griz challenge? Let's see.

The Grizzlies have been playing up and down ball the whole year, with the exception of a nice looking run recently where they pop off 7 in a row against teams that are missing key players (see Spurs). OVERRATED.

Once the Grizzlies start playing some real teams (see Rockets) they will be exposed as a pretender. You cant go 10 deep against a superstar, it just doesnt work.

You have to have a superstar to contend other superstars. Yao Ming is a superstar and the Grizzlies have no one to contend with him.

In the last game between the Rockets and the Grizzlies Yao Ming took a whopping 7 shots. This is not because of the Grizzlies defense. Lorenzen Wright and Jake Tsakilidis do not hold Yao to 7 shots. Yao's confidence holds Yao to 7 shots. Unfortunately for the Grizzlies Yao has tons more confidence now than he did January 19 (date of last Grizz-Rocks game)

Watch out Grizzlies because you are in for a rude awakening.

Pau Gasol 17.8 pts, 7.8 boards,

Yao Ming 17.5 pts, 8.8 boards

both play equal minutes but one is a superstar and not the other

Neither is superstar yet. However, jusdging a player purely on stat line is misleading.
