fade - just one quick question, can you start 6 starters and only one RP????

think i have found a solution round it anyway, but just wanted to know

as have used up 7 starts so 9 left, and until i added the Wolf machine only have 3 going this next period

Why would you want to do that?? Your 2 best pitchers by far this season have been your 2 closers. I'd keep those 2 guys in, and tinker with your SPs. There's always someone out there as a FA with a half-decent ERA and a favorable matchup if you really need an extra arm. Ditch one of your backup IFs who's not doing you any good on the bench and add an arm to fill out your rotation. Teams get screwy with rotations the last weekend of the season and you don't want to be caught short.

thanks Sam, don't want to sit a closer as they have been awesome... although some saves in the championship match-up would really help right now, but just wanted to check if it was possible..... it is not the last weekend i am worrying about as i think I have 8 pitchers all scheduled to start, it was the period starting tomorrow as I had only 3 scheduled to start and who knows what is up with the peavy, have picked up wolf to give me 4 starters from mon to thurs and then any combination to give me 5 on the weekend.....

    time to fire Gits

I completely agree with Sam. I don't think you should ever sit a RP during the championship match. There are always SPs on the waiver wire that might have a good matchup if you find yourself short.

    Also, here's the scoring update:

    LHorn: 177 + 155 = 332 (8/16 SP games used)
    Smeg: 183 + 124 = 307 (7/16 SP games used)

    I'm pretty sure you're winning.

I'm kinda sick of Fanstar telling me a pitcher is scheduled to start during one of the game periods, so I place them in the lineup only to find out that Fanstar again is ****ing up and the pitcher sits in the lineup, useless.

Thank you Halladay for getting me back in this thing with the CG. Now Jake Peavy, LOSE BAD!

I grasping at straws over here. I had to pick up a scrub SS and rookie OF due to my continued injuries.

I should have five starters for the next round. It's gonna be close, Smeg.

Here's the scoring update going into the final period of action:

    LHorn: 177 + 155 + 182 = 514 (11/16 SP games used)
    Smeg: 183 + 124 + 202 = 509 (11/16 SP games used)

The overall scores are so close and both teams have 5 SP games still remaining. It truly is anybody's game!

Every point counts, so make sure you both get five starters in your lineup. Double-check the pitching probables at ESPN or MLB.com to make sure that your pitchers are starting this weekend.

    Good luck!

This may be the best playoff race/finals we've ever had.

    Good luck, guys!

    DIE, DIE, DIE ERSTAD!

We're not in the playoff race and your HR gave Valverde the W instead of a blown save.

    I NEEDED THAT!

Congrats to LonghornFan, who wins the championship with a dominant final score of 682-582 over Smeg.

He barely slipped into the playoffs after improbable losses by DH and Sam during the final week, and then beat the two best teams in the league en route to the championship. Nobody could have predicted that.

    Good show, LH.

Wow, NICE! I went from dead last to first in only three years and this is BY FAR the hardest fantasy baseball league I've ever played in, and my favorite. My trades luckily helped me reach the post season and my last week pickups kicked some buttocks for scrubs. Thanks to Fade for running the league and losing to my AAA squad and props to Smeg for the battle!

I also won the Clutchfans baseball league, so I was double dope happy today! :D

New sig celebrating my victories to come.
