I think if KD wants 3-4 rings minimum, he comes to H-town.

I think if he wants a ring at minimum he should go to H-town. OKC just isn't a winning combination and unless he gets help I don't he gets past LBJ or GSW...or the Rockets lol.

I think Durant wants to be on a serious contender, so he's going to be watching how all the teams do in the playoffs. The following would hurt the Rockets chances:

    1. Okc beats Rockets in the playoffs.
    2. Okc reaches the finals.
    3. Rockets lose in the early rounds.
    4. Washington reaches the finals.

Regardless if OKC beats us, him departing and landing here would make us the title contender (as if we're already not  )

I am not saying there is a chance but if you are one of the ones hoping that Durant comes to Houston, the injury is a good thing.

You want the Thunder to struggle and the team to be mediocre.

If that team does well and goes far in playoffs, it will be very hard for Durant to leave OKC.

Bleacher Report (i know) had a very interesting article about it. From there, I was convinced that the only real contenders are OKC, Washington and Houston.

Wizards bring the home-town hero story to life, but aren't they essentially a worse off Thunder squad? They do play in a weak East but it still seems like a downgrade.

OKC is still a contender, albeit with some holes here and there. The Rockets are in the same boat. The likeliest scenario is Durant signs a one year deal to align with WB and Ibaka's FA.

Still, if we could possibly put together Harden, Lawson, Howard AND Durant on the same squad? That'd be hard even for GS to stop.

    ^Correct

I mean, I get the hometown thing, so I think that Washington is a threat, but as far as putting Durant in the best position to win, that is Houston, no question.

A Durantless Rockets team is already better than the current Thunder. Adding Durant on top of that....my god....it would be unreal.

Who would have to be jettisoned from our team in order to make room?
Do we pick up Lawson's option? Does Dwight need to reject the player option?
Do we need to make trades -now- to prep for Durant's free agency?

How would we make it work minutes and ball handling wise? We of course have harden, Lawson can handle the ball, dmo can work down low, Howard likes his touches also and then we just add a guy who scores 30 ppg

    What a pathetic effort.

    Close your eyes, KD.

Yea kind of weird to bump a thread to rub this seasons failure into some bodies face by calling them clueless for not knowing how bad the team would be.

Nobody, I mean nobody would have guessed a team that made it to the WCF's, 2nd in west, 56 wins, that is relatively healthy and added a above average starter to one of our weakest positions would have fallen so badly.

I had OKC below us before the season too, if we played at the same level we did last year we would be better them right now.

Take it easy on Kwame guys.

I spent years calling him out on some of his famous gaffs, such as suggesting Rudy Gay or Tyreke Evans being good players.

The Thunder's blistering 11-7 start is clearly something to take note of.
