They swing for the fences and always strike out

Durant joining Harden here would be like James joining Wade in Miami. The better player goes to join his friend's team while that team's identity/leadership are still more closely associated with the original guy.

They win some championships and then the better player gets homesick and leaves.

Didn't strike out with Dwight Howard signing. If you don't swing for the fences, how will you ever hit a homer? Bunting or not swinging at all gets you at BEST, just first base.

    Where do I sign?

In all seriousness, I am not getting my hopes up. For one thing, I don't know how well KD and Dwight would get along (yes, I realize that KD >>> Dwight, but would having him impact KD's decision) given their spats on the court as opponents. Secondly there are going to be so many lined up for him that the odds are invariably small to begin with.

players talk trash and argue all the time with each other on the court. Most of it means nothing as soon as that game is over. If anything the media and general public make it a bigger deal than what it really is.

The Rockets court every star player. It would only be news if the Rockets weren't courting Durant.

How big of friends are James and KD? Isn't he closer to Westbrook?

James and KD are great friends. There was an article saying that they spoke at least once a week, if I'm not mistaken.

Jeez, how Janet "What Have You Done for me Late - ly" Jackson can you get?

Carmelo was aiming for a big market team and the money, some place his wife wouldn't b**** about; Bosh was almost in the bag but Miami's owner got desperate and gave Bosh the fifth year; and, to be honest, LaMarcus Aldridge probably knew a year out that he'd be going to San Antonio.

James Harden and Dwight Howard don't fit in the "always strike out" category.

EDIT: So I guess we can start looking for trades for expiring contract dudes...........or hope Dwight opts out (and, perhaps, goes elsewhere, etc etc).
