Lighten up. Most of those proposed trades were just a way of releasing nervous energy and venting frustration. Many were just to open lines of discussion to strengthen the team. But, most of all, what if-ing is just fun while waiting for the next game.

T-Mc is not a sacrosanct commodity. If we get a worthwhile offer, we should look at it. What's worthwhile? I trust Rick Adelman to make the right decisions and Morey to get him what he wants/needs. I don't trust Morey by himself to make sound trades -- he puts too much trust in stats in relationship to salary.

Personally, I think Shane and Luther are our best trade bait without hurting the team's future. We will get better value on T-Mc in the summer or near the end of his contract. That doesn't mean we need to get rid of them -- just use them if need be to improve the Rockets future.

I like the confirmation that T-Mac claims everything are just rumors.

I don't like the fact he just use "easy schedule" excuse to explain our recent wins. While last year Yao is injuried, he never said anything about his easy schedule run... neither Yao.

Frankly I am not worrying about what he says, but from there, I could see an attitude, which makes me think whether he would accept the change and adjust himself into the system.

Why didn't McGrady deny saying he was unhappy?

No team is "married" to their superstar players, they only have contracts with them. Its not like the organization is "cheating" behind the player's back by listening to offers. Especially when the Rockets DON'T instigate the offers, only receive them.

I wouldnt fault the Rockets for listening to ANY offer. Its more generally the content of the offer isn't leaned towards the Rocket's favor, so they probably get tired of listening to the same old thing.

Probably won't be laughing if it happens. Where there is smoke, there is fire. I am guessing that there is a "decent" chance he won't be here after the trade deadline.

Use context clues. He said he didn't say anything about wanting to goto Chicago or be traded. Reports were saying he was unhappy and wanted to be traded. Usually when people are unhappy, they say they want to be traded. I think yall are reaching too hard for something that is not there. Denying that he wanted to be traded pretty much clears up everything. including his mood. He sure didn't look unhappy on the bench cheering on his teammates against the Knicks.

    EXACTLY.

Sometimes Me-Mac does not know how to speak diplomatically. To attribute the recent winning streak just to an easy schedule is basically being arrogant and not paying due respect and credits to his hardworking team mates who had stepped up in his absence.

Lets face it, the schedule HAS been easy lately.

I agree that the rockets need to show that they can win with out tmac, no matter which team they face.

I don't want tmac to feel like his worth is based on the team sucking without him. It should be that the team is BETTER with him due to a Mac that plays in a system and is willing to adjust his game..no more me-mac.

New Orleans is a top-performing team and beating them will send a clear message to tmac.

I swear many of you people are either stupid or have short memory. It wasn't T-macs fault that we lost those. Our entire team was performing worse than ever. Actually, T-mac was the only person that was performing better than last year.

Why can't anyone accept the obvious answer? It was the surrounding teammates that were still unused to the new offense. They were using Tmac as a crutch, but recently have started to gel together. It has nothing to do with Tmac bringing the team down, but rather the other teammates bringing their game up.

I mean I respect every poster on this board whether or not I agree or disagree, but you take the cake sometimes. I don't know if you joined this forum once Yao became a member of this team, but give me a break.

The teammates were working hard when they were losing. they just couldn't make shots. When you can't make shots against weaker teams, you lose. When you do that against poor teams, you still have a chance to win. There are no moral victories in the pro. Either you win or you lose.

I'm tired of everything tracy says is being blown out of context. I didn't hear anyone say anything about Yao calling the team soft. The game after the comments, he was abused by the Warriors. I mean the truth is the truth. The rox have benefitted from beating denver and oralndo as the only teams not in lotto land.

I hate to call people tof or yof, but its evident by some of their comments. I'm a rox fan with or without mcgrady, ming, francis, james and whomever else wher the rox uniform. I was there when they traded a 2X mvp moses for nothing and when they apssed clyde for rodney mccray. I'll be there come thick or thin. Only true fans can say the same.

    my thoughts exactly.

no matter what tmac says, some of you always find a way to spin it to sound like he's being selfish.

WE HAVE HAD AN EASY SCHEDULE. THIS IS TRUE.

knicks twice, washington minus gilbert arenas, and the 5-29 twolves?! c'mon. it's not like he isn't acknowledging that the team is playing well, but he's also telling it like it is.

seriously, so many tmac haters in here. i don't wanna say YOF but sure as hell sounds like it. if you really think we better off without tmac....then i got nothing left to say.

Quote from McGrady that did not appear in this i:

"When I hear these rumors I laugh nearly as hard as when I'm watching from the bench as we get blown out in the 4th quarter."

    Ok, I'm joking.

"It'll be interesting to see when we face those teams, if I'm not playing — like New Orleans (on Sunday afternoon) and the better teams in this league — to see how much improvement we've really made."- Tmac.
Sound like he putting all the chips on the line this Sunday! I'll won't be surprise to see Tmac put on a wig and sporting a Hornet uniform yelling "Go Hornets, prove that Houston can't beat good team w/o me!!" :D So much for leadership and team spirit. :(
