So if Wood would of played all those games, we would of won 3 more games to be 23 - 59 instead??? Are you suggesting I should be appalled by this trade because we would of been slightly less shitty because of Wood? @Reeko am I missing something here?
I think some on here drank too much of that "Wood is worth 3-4 1st round picks" kool aid that was passed around here during the trade deadline. Wood is a fine player and the return on him was fine. Maybe if Stone included a pick or two he could have gotten a better return but it's obvious that our GM didn't think that would be a good idea.
I guess this is not getting through to you. Yes the rockets were a bad team last year even with Wood playing, but without him they had a 7% win rate, extrapolated over 82 games would be 5 wins. Wood was by far the best player on a bad team and we will be worse off without him (softened by improvements from Green and Sengun). Which again is fine, since we will be tanking again.
omg 5 wins? you actually extrapolated that like it meant something. man thats amazing. Wood impacts winning. Not wood wasn't the best player on this team. he was one of the biggest losers on this team. you empty stat folks still don't learn
No. As I said, I am perfectly fine with the trade since it sets us up for tanking again next year. I am just saying all the idiots saying this is addition by subtraction have it backwards.
Reminder: In Christian Woods first year in Houston, shortly after our little 6 game win streak there were two things many people were convinced of and argued strongly. Houston was not tanking and were likely still a play in team. Christian Wood was already a top 5-10 center in the nba.
Just one cat in particular Christian Wood expected to get "significant trade interest" Get Christian Wood the Hell outta here ASAP for AMAP! What do we get for CW? What do we get for CW?
I guess I'm one of those idiots, so I take offense to your post. It is definitely addition by subtraction. We allow our young guys to grow without Wood's toxic personality on the team. Tanking was going to happen with or without Wood. Based on a 0.27 percent win record with Wood, I think it's pretty safe to say that 2023 will be another rough year for this team, unless they acquire a couple of veterans and Green/KPJ/Sengun grow up a lot, which I'm not expecting.
eat crow. I'm sad that Christian didn't work out here. I was a huge proponent of getting him. I think the return is underwhelming but the market is the market and I'm happy the team didn't hold onto him if he wasn't in the future. Holding out probably wouldn't have increased his value. I think Kidd will do wonders for his career. Silas gave him free reign and he took advantage of it. It was clearly untenable.
you don't get good value for a loser. that's never the case. you get trash back for the trash you sent Hench addition by subtraction reference
